Since signing a massive five-year contract extension to remain the head coach of the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team, head coach Geno Auriemma is making the media rounds. One of the biggest topics of discussion? Caitlin Clark and the WNBA, of course.
Given that Auriemma knows Clark well from her four years in college hoops, including losing to her and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Final Four, it’s a natural discussion topic.
Plus, Auriemma knows the landscape of women’s basketball better than almost anyone else.
NFL fans haven’t connected with the league’s attempts at catering to the woke crowd, namely including the “Black National Anthem” as part of pre-game festivities.
And the reasoning is simple: not bent on hate or racism, as leftist pundits would like you to believe. …
Why add a separate national anthem when our existing national anthem represents all Americans?
People are calling out the black national anthem’s redundancy, including former ESPN pundit Sage Steele, who dubbed it a “ridiculous” idea by the NFL.

Canadian Adam Hadwin holds an early lead at the Memorial, and feels confident going into the final 54 holes.
At last year’s Memorial Tournament, Adam Hadwin quickly went from being a contender to a pretender.
He opened with a 3-under 69 at Jack’s Place but stumbled with a 7-over 79 on day two to miss the cut by one. He shot a 6-over 42 on the front-nine on that fate-sealing Friday, thanks to a triple bogey at the 3rd and a double at the par-4 9th.

Viktor Hovland’s first event since the PGA Championship is off to a strong start.
He fired off a 3-under 69 Thursday at The Memorial Tournament, the event he won a season ago.
But Hovland remained in contention thanks to a superb par-save at the par-3 12th, which proved to be one of the most significant moments of the day. It kept his momentum alive as he added his final two birdies at 13 and 14.

While being in the mud may be a bit of a new development for the Astros, one team that is used to experiencing this lowly position in baseball life is the Chicago White Sox.

The Stanley Cup is arguably the most famous trophy in sports. There’s nothing quite like hosting the Cup.
Then, on top of the Cup itself, you get a ring too. What more could you possibly need?
The answer, of course, is a WWE championship belt.
The National Hockey League and the WWE are joining forces to church out championship belts for this year’s Stanley Cup Final and fans of either the Edmonton Oilers or the Florida Panthers will have the opportunity to buy one.
According to a WWE press release, this is the first licensed NHL product that the WWE will release.
