Alternate title: How to watch the Victor Wembanyama lottery
The 2023 NBA Draft Lottery is tonight.
The suggested title of the 2023 Victor Wembanyama Lottery was, apparently, rejected by the league.
However, the 7’4 Wembanyama is considered the crown jewel of the incoming draft class. The 19-year-old has been described as a generational talent, and is coming off three seasons of playing professionally in France. Not since LeBron James has an incoming player created as much buzz as Wembanyama, and with good reason.

It did not take long for someone to scream racism after the Phoenix Suns decided to part ways with head coach Monty Williams after their postseason exit. Former NBA player Stephen Jackson gladly ran with the narrative that Williams’ skin color played a part in his firing.
Phoenix calling it quits with Williams was absolutely a surprise. He led the Suns to the NBA Finals in 2021 and punched back-to-back trips to the Western Conference semifinals over the last two seasons.

It’s no secret the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Burrow have been working on a contract extension. The quarterback on Tuesday confirmed that’s happening and added there’s a part of the negotiation that isn’t all about him.
“I’m pretty clear on what I want in the contract and what I think is best for myself and the team and we’re on the road to making that happen,” Joe Burrow told reporters.
“I’m involved,” Burrow admitted. “And that’s in the works. That’s not really something I’d like to play out in the media.

On the court, LeBron James is seen as one of the most dominant figures and biggest personalities in basketball. But as a dad, he appears to be hands off.
James’s son, Bronny, has committed to USC as a four-star prospect and fans may naturally assume the celebrity dad would be incredibly involved in the process. After all, the four-time MVP has repeatedly stated he wants to play with Bronny in the NBA. But according to Trojans coach Andy Enfield, LeBron and his wife Savannah are not helicopter parents by any means.

A year after his retirement, one of college basketball’s giants will be enshrined in its Hall of Fame.
Longtime Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski leads the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2023, the Kansas City-based museum announced Tuesday morning. Krzyzewski, 76, is the winningest coach in the history of Division I men’s college basketball.
He will be joined in the Hall by former North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough, former Blue Devils guard Johnny Dawkins, legendary scout Tom Konchalski and Division II coaching great Herb Magee.

He also sounds like every oldhead ever.
We all know that older guy at the barbershop, or at every family function, who says “(insert sport here) isn’t as good as it used to be because the players don’t care as much.” Usually it’s met with an eye roll and an “ok man,” but sometimes it has some validity.
Especially when it comes from an NBA player such as DeMar DeRozan.
While appearing on an episode of Podcast P with Paul George, DeRozan had a few things to say about today’s NBA.

Former Olympic cyclist Inga Thompson offered a scathing rebuke of trans athletes competing against biological women during an appearance on OutKick’s Don’t @ Me With Dan Dakich.
Thompson competed at the 1984, 1988, and 1992 Summer Olympics. More recently, she has spoken out against Union Cycliste Internationale’s (UCI) transgender participation policy.
Dan Dakich asked the three-time Olympian what it is that makes people so scared to speak out against biological men competing against women.

Nick Kyrgios will miss his second Grand Slam tournament of the season as he decided to pull out of the 2023 French Open less than a week before the event gets underway.
Kyrgios didn’t play in his home country’s Australian Open in January after he suffered a knee injury, which later resulted in him undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. He was originally expected to only miss around three-to-four weeks, but he still hasn’t returned to action nearly four months after the procedure.
It’s unknown when the 28-year-old expects to return to the court.
