Dan and Tanya Snyder have finalized an agreement with 76ers and Devils owner co-owner Josh Harris to sell the Commanders, the team announced on Friday.
The deal is pending the league’s approval—which will take place at the NFL’s owners meeting on May 22 in Minnesota—as well as the completion of the necessary closing conditions, per the team’s statement. The agreement comes nearly a month after the Synders were close to selling the franchise for a reported price tag of nearly $6 billion.

An exciting offseason of new beginnings continued for safety Jonathan Owens on Friday after the free agent and husband of star Olympic gymnast Simone Biles broke the news of his next NFL deal.

Commanders owner Dan Snyder and his legal team are lobbying the NFL to limit the release of a report about sexual misconduct allegations and financial improprieties against him, according to a Friday report from ESPN’s Don Van Natta Jr. and Seth Wickersham.
Sources told ESPN that one of Snyder’s main motivations for holding up the release of the findings, beyond being wary of the reporting against him, was to hold up the sale of the team to a group led by Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Josh Harris.
Jayson Tatum thinks highly of Jayson Tatum.
The Boston Celtics superstar had a simple explanation for how he was able to recover after an awful first half on Thursday night.
“I’m, humbly, one of the best basketball players in the world,” he said after the game.

But Tatum certainly didn’t look like the best to start off Game 6.
In speaking with Conor Orr of Sports Illustrated Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner revealed details of his first conversation with Aaron Rodgers, months prior to the four-time NFL league MVP being traded to the Jets.
It appears that the 2022 Defensive Rookie of the Year’s first communication involved his now-infamous wearing of a Packers cheesehead following the Jets Week 6 victory over Green Bay.
“First thing I did, I texted him a picture of the cheesehead,” Gardner told Orr. “And he said, ‘LOL why do you still have that?’ I told him, ‘Hey, you become a Jet, I’ll burn it.

The Kevin Durant trade looks like it could be a huge bust for the Suns. The pressure is on to salvage it with the right moves this offseason.
The Phoenix Suns’ trade for Kevin Durant looks like a bust right now. There’s no other takeaway after the Suns were eliminated from the 2023 NBA Playoffs in the second round by losing to the Denver Nuggets in six games. Phoenix went out sad, falling 125-100 in Game 6 in what was a rout from the opening tip.
After suffering a lopsided season-ending loss for the second consecutive postseason, the Suns are reportedly expected to enter the upcoming offseason looking to drastically reshape their roster around stars Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
Phoenix’s season officially came to an end on Thursday in a 125–100 Game 6 loss to the Nuggets, a matchup both Chris Paul (groin) and Deandre Ayton (ribs) missed due to injury.
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey is keeping the art of the random amusing athlete tweet alive. The peak example of the form will always be Will Hill (a former Ravens DB, coincidentally), but as many other athletes have become more buttoned up on social media, Humphrey is still known to drop humorous thoughts out of the blue on his Twitter feed. Take, for example, this tweet from Friday in which Humphrey admitted that he did not know the Titanic was a real ship.
Was today year old when I found out the Titanic was real….that’s wild lowkey
