Nuggets guard Jamal Murray was unstoppable against the Lakers in Saturday’s Game 3 victory, running up a 37-point tab as Denver extended its series lead to 3–0. Murray has been a key cog for the Nuggets for several years now, but there was a time when he was questioning his future in Denver.
After Game 3 on Saturday, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone shared an eye-opening conversation he had with Murray after he’d missed the entire 2021-22 season with a torn ACL.

Referee Scott Foster was left with a bloody lip after taking an inadvertent hit from LeBron James during Saturday’s Game 3 between the Lakers and Nuggets.
Foster, who appeared to be bleeding from a cut around his mouth, was briefly attended to after the incident in the first half.
When James came up to apologize to the longtime NBA official after the accidental contact, Foster hit him with a hilarious and unexpected joke.
“You’ve been wanting to do that for 25 years,” Foster joked to James while tending to his injury.

There was a very cool moment between Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and a young fan on Saturday.
The Blue Jays were hosting the Baltimore Orioles in what would end up being a 6-5, 10-inning loss. However, there was something bigger than baseball that happened to catch Guerrero’s eye.
There was a young fan sitting behind home plate wearing a Blue Jays Bo Bichette jersey. He held up a sign made out of yellow posterboard that read, “Hey Bo, I beat cancer like you beat the pitcher.

MLB fans’ calls for robot umpires grew a bit louder on Saturday night after a pair of star players were ruled out on controversial third strike decisions. Both Braves’ Ozzie Albies and Dodgers’ Mookie Betts were questionably called out on strikes in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Albies, in a four-run game in the bottom of the ninth, watched a pitch from Mariners’ Paul Sewald that appeared well outside of the zone. That’s not how home plate umpire Edwin Moscoso saw it, however, as he rung up Atlanta’s infielder for a strikeout.

It’s official, NBA referees are the toughest guys on the court. Exhibit A: Scott Foster, who was trucked by LeBron James to the point of drawing blood.
And yet he stayed in the game.
It happened late in the first half of Game 3 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. The Lakers inbounded the ball after a Nuggets basket. However, as LeBron turned to run upcourt he didn’t check to make sure the coast was clear and ran directly into Foster.

Two-time MVP Nikola Jokić is the clear headliner for the Nuggets, but Jamal Murray has arguably been the best player on the floor for Denver so far in the Western Conference finals. The 26-year-old guard has taken things to another level so far on Saturday night.
Murray leads all scorers with 30 points in the first half, leading the Nuggets to a 58–55 halftime lead over the Lakers. He’s 13-for-20 from the field and 4-for-8 from three-point range, adding four rebounds in 21 minutes.

A heartwarming moment between Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and a young Blue Jays fan who beat cancer captivated MLB fans on Saturday after the star slugger went out of his way to make the fan’s day mid-game.
During the Blue Jays’ home tilt against the Orioles, Guerrero happened to notice a young fan wearing the jersey of teammate Bo Bichette sitting behind home plate. In the fan’s hands was a hand-made sign that read, “Hey Bo, I beat cancer like you beat the pitcher.
