Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has solidified himself as one of the elite hitters in MLB.
However, even baseball’s best are humbled on occasion.
With the Blue Jays leading 10-1 in the eighth inning against the Rays on Tuesday night, Toronto’s star slugger found himself batting against a position player due to the lopsided score. Guerrero had to be salivating at the opportunity.
Instead, after working a 1-2 count, Rays outfielder Luke Raley shocked Guerrero and lofted a 50-mph curveball. The two-time All-Star swung hard and whiffed for the strikeout.

Honda to supply Aston Martin with power units starting in 2026
Honda power units have powered Max Verstappen to two-straight Drivers’ championships, and Red Bull to the Constructors’ title last season. But the contract between Honda and Red Bull is set to expire after the 2025 season, and Red Bull will enter the 2026 campaign in a new partnership with Ford.
However, that does not mean that Honda will be absent from the F1 world.
Yankees fans were shocked Tuesday night at this acrobatic squirrel
ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian loves to say that if you attend a Major League Baseball game, you might see something you have never seen before.
For some New York Yankees fans Tuesday night that quote came true, but perhaps not exactly as Kurkjian envisioned.
Fans sitting in the front row of the bleachers were treated to an up-close-and-personal feat of aerobatic achievement from, of all creatures, a squirrel.
Legendary Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban recently tried to use his coaching talents to teach an entirely different sport.
Saban had several Alabama players at his charity golf tournament in Birmingham, and took the opportunity to try and improve their golf game.
Malachi Moore and Kool-Aid McKinstry were the lucky beneficiaries of his coaching technique. And of course, photos and videos quickly made the internet.
McKinstry was up first, with Saban showing him how to correctly grip a club.

Traditionally speaking, sitting in the front row at Yankee Stadium is some of the most prime real estate a sports fan can have. The Bronx Bombers have been one of the most successful sports franchises in the world for over a century, so having such an intimate vantage point of the field has often meant getting the best look at some of the most legendary baseball players in the game’s history.
During Tuesday night’s game against the Orioles, though, lucky fans sitting on the railing were spectators to a bit of rodent mayhem when a squirrel decided to crash the party.
After years of speculation regarding a potential matchup, Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. have agreed to fight for the undisputed welterweight championship at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 29, according to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger.
Crawford (39-0) has held the WBO welterweight title since 2018, while Spence (28-0) is the unified welterweight champion, as he currently owns the IBF, WBC and WBA titles. Each fighter will earn over $10 million for the bout, with the agreement carrying a bidirectional rematch clause that the loser can initiate within 30 days.
Charles Barkley thinks the Boston Celtics are ready to ‘go fishing’ or hit the shores of Cancun heading into Tuesday’s Game 4 against the Miami Heat.
All series, the Celtics have played out of sorts. The team appears ready to go on vacation after their embarrassing showcase of basketball against the eighth-seeded Heat.
Jayson Tatum’s pre-game outfit convinced the “Inside The NBA” crew that the Celtics are ready to go home and be family men.
Showing up in a button-up made by high-end brand “Nahmias,” Tatum became the butt of the joke for the uproarious crew.
LeBron James’s future was the talk of the NBA world on Tuesday, the day after he made a vague comment about his career future after the Lakers’ elimination.
ESPN analyst Richard Jefferson wanted to use the topic as a springboard to a joke about fellow analyst Kendrick Perkins, but it backfired in a big way. During Tuesday’s episode of NBA Today, Jefferson wound up on the wrong end of the joke.
“Do you think it’s a better chance of LeBron retiring or Perk going on a diet?” Jefferson asked host Malika Andrews.
Instead of answering the question, Andrews chose a third option.
Welterweight champions Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. have reportedly agreed to a deal to fight on July 29 in Las Vegas, according to ESPN.
