Team USA men’s basketball faces a tough group to open the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The opening games for the 2024 Mens’ Olympic basketball tournament begin July 27, and of course, the heavy favorite is Team USA. Led by Olympic legends such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant and flanked by the games’ latest stars like Anthony Edwards and Bam Adebayo, the USA go into the Olympics looking to repeat as gold medal winners, but are looking for redemption after failing to medal in the FIBA World Cup.

We are still over a year away from the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York, but the U.S. team has already suffered its first loss of the biennial event.  Tiger Woods has reportedly passing on being team captain.
The 2025 Ryder Cup has long been circled as a potentially perfect opportunity for Woods to make his debut as team captain, and the shouts for him to do so grew much louder after the U.S. was routed in Italy in 2023, but he doesn’t appear to see it that way.
According to The Telegraph, Woods is believed to have turned down the opportunity to captain the American squad.

I’m a Boston Red Sox fan, so I’d be lying if I said I was disappointed by this. I don’t wake up every morning and base my happiness on the Yankees’ recent struggles (they’ve lost 15 of their last 20 games and have looked awful in most of those games).
