The Giants and quarterback Daniel Jones have agreed to a contract extension ahead of free agency, Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post reports. The deal is a four-year contract worth $160 million and an additional $35 million in incentives, SI’s Albert Breer reports.
New York drafted Jones with the sixth pick in the 2019 draft, and the quarterback has started 53 games over the last four seasons. The team chose not to pick up his fifth-year option following the ’21 season, allowing his rookie contract to expire this offseason.

The Baltimore Ravens will place the franchise tag on quarterback Lamar Jackson but that doesn’t mean he’s staying with the team through the 2023 season.
Jackson, who is representing himself, and Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta talked via phone and even met in South Florida in recent days but their negotiations did not lead to a multi-year contract.
That’s why the Ravens are using the non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson. That tag will cost Baltimore $32.4 million guaranteed in 2023 and that full amount goes on the team’s salary cap.
In a surprising move, former MVP Lamar Jackson is now free to negotiate with other teams and Baltimore can match or receive draft picks.
