Colorado Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon saw his season end someone prematurely in an opening-round loss to the Seattle Kraken. But that didn’t keep him from hitting up some kind of playoff atmosphere.
MacKinnon was on hand to see the Denver Nuggets take a 2-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Lakers. He didn’t just sit in the stands though, they made the poor guy shoot a free throw.

National Treasure dashed across the finish line first on Saturday to win the 148th edition of the Preakness Stakes.
National Treasure, ridden by John Velazquez and trained by Bob Baffert, finished with a 1:55.12 time ahead of Blazing Sevens at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. Mage, the 2023 Kentucky Derby winner, finished 3rd.
Baffert, who missed his second consecutive Kentucky Derby earlier this month because of a suspension, now holds the record for the most Preakness victories as a trainer with eight after Saturday’s win. The previous record was seven.

National Treasure wins the Preakness, denying Mage a shot at the Triple Crown
Fresh off winning the Kentucky Derby, Mage entered the 148th running of the Preakness Stakes hoping to secure the second leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown.
Mage, however, would be denied as it was National Treasure who came away the winner of the Preakness.
National Treasure and Mage both got off to a decent start, and National Treasure took the lead into the first turn, followed by Coffeewithchris and Blazing Sevens, with Mage in fourth.

There will be no Triple Crown this year as Mage, the Kentucky Derby winner, couldn’t chase down National Treasure at Pimlico.

Jamal Murray scored 30 in the first half and Denver is threatening to put LeBron James and Los Angeles in a huge hole in the West finals.

Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah saw his outing cut short on Saturday, by no fault of his own. In fact, his sixth-inning removal from the tightly contested game against the rival Orioles, stemmed from a mound visit from manager John Schneider.
After Schneider was seen briefly discussing strategy with Manoah and Toronto’s infielders, home plate umpire Dan Iassogna approached the mound to relay the fact that this was the Toronto’s second mound visit of the inning.
