Charles Barkley made a guest appearance on ESPN’s NHL analyst desk during Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final, joining the likes of Mark Messier, P.K. Subban and Steve Levy in between the first and second periods of Monday night’s game.
While on the air, Levy didn’t hesitate to broach the conversation of Barkley’s future in broadcasting with TNT set to lose its NBA media rights deal.
The shirtless kid from the Oilers-Panthers Stanley Cup final is back!
Edmonton came locked in for Monday’s Game 2 after getting shut out in Game 1 (3-0) against the Florida Panthers.
One familiar face and belly from Game 1 made an appearance in Sunrise, FL., on Monday. During an in-game interview with Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch, the kid (the kid!) who crashed Knoblauch’s interview from Game 1 was back to haunt the coach for Game 2.

With the first month of the 2024 season officially past, the league announced its TV ratings and attendance details for the month of May. It comes as no surprise that both are up massively compared to last year, with TV ratings reaching all-time highs and attendance at its highest mark in 26 years.
The league reported that approximately 400,000 fans attended WNBA games in May, the most the league has recorded since 1998.
Another day, another NCAA lawsuit. After years of profiting from “student-athletes”, the NCAA is reaping what it sowed. In the latest edition of “Who’s suing the NCAA today?”, 10 players from Jim Valvano’s 1983 men’s college basketball champion NC State Wolfpack filed a lawsuit to get name, image, and likeness (“NIL”) compensation.
Forty-plus years ago, Jimmy V led the Wolfpack to one of the biggest upsets in sports history.
The Edmonton Oilers will be without one of their key forwards for the remainder of Monday’s Game 2 against the Florida Panthers after a bad attempt at a hit from Warren Foegele resulted in a worrisome injury to Eetu Luostarinen.
Foegele attempted to land a hit onto Luostarinen in the open ice, but misfired and ended up sticking his leg out in a desparate attempt to clip the Panthers’ forward. In doing so, their legs made direct contact, and Luostarinen remained on the ground in pain after the collision before being helped off the ice.
UNCASVILLE, CT – The Connecticut Sun, one of the WNBA’s best teams at 9-1, had little trouble dealing with Caitlin Clark and the 3-9 Indiana Fever during the first half at Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Sun took a commanding 55-35 lead into halftime, but the most notable moment during the first half came when Sun guard DiJonai Carrington fouled Clark shortly after Clark received an inbound pass from teammate Kristy Wallace.
Clark, who came off a screen, caught the pass and started towards the basket.
