The Houston Texans are getting all of the national attention. The Carolina Panthers? Not so much.
The 2024 NFL regular season has been unveiled, including over 70 national broadcasts between the league’s myriad of television and streaming partners. It’s a bit silly to deeply analyze these games in mid-May knowing how unpredictable the sport is, but that’s never stopped anyone before.

Harrison Butker was doxxed Wednesday night in a now-deleted tweet.
The Kansas City Chiefs kicker has been taking fire from the outrage mob after a commencement speech at the conservative Christian university Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.
The problem? Butker pushed a conservative pro-family message, encouraged young woman to pursue the goal of building a great family, praised his wife as an amazing women and took shots at Joe Biden.
For that, the mob is coming for him, and things hit a breaking point Wednesday night.

Tiger Woods showed flashes of brilliance but a frustrating end to his opening round has him nowhere near the top of the leaderboard.
Tiger Woods fought his way around Valhalla for the first 16 holes on Thursday at the PGA Championship, making putts when he needed to while avoiding big mistakes.
He sat at 1-under for the championship when he arrived at the par-3 8th, fresh off a birdie at the 7th, where he holed a 13-footer.

Ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Lando Norris discussed his mental health journey
Lando Norris has opened up about his mental health journey before, such as talking about his struggles during his rookie season in Formula 1, or looking back ahead of last year regarding his willingness to discuss such topics. But Thursday at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Norris did so again, albeit on different footing.
He did so for the first time as an F1 race winner.

There’s far more outrage over Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s commencement address at Benedictine College last Saturday than there is over his teammate Rashee Rice committing violent crimes.
For a recap, Butker encouraged women at a Catholic college to embrace being a mother during his speech. He credited his wife for staying home while he earned for the family.

Scottie Scheffler opened the PGA Championship with a bang, which produced some incredible fan reactions.
Speechless.
That is how Scottie Scheffler left the golf world after playing his first hole at the PGA Championship on Thursday.
After finding the fairway off the tee, Scheffler had 170 yards left on Valhalla’s opening par-4 1st hole. He pulled out his 9-iron for his second shot and, unsurprisingly, hit a gorgeous shot that painted the flag stick.

Xander Schauffele was embarrassed by Rory McIlroy during the final round of the Wells Fargo Championship this past Sunday, losing to the four-time major winner by six shots before finishing runner-up by five. Many questioned how Schauffele would come out of the gates at this week’s PGA Championship, and the answer seems to be like a man absolutely possessed.
Schauffele began with a disappointing par on the gettable Par 5 10th hole, but a birdie on the Par 3 11th jump-started his round, and he never looked back.

I don’t know what was on Chiefs rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy’s to-do list when he learned that he was headed to Kansas City.
If he’s like most of us, I’m guessing he wanted to snag himself a little of that world-famous BBQ (I bet Andy Reid has some kick-ass recommendations on that front), maybe catch a Royals game across the parking lot from Arrowhead Stadium, and — if time allows — maybe check out Hallmark’s headquarters and pick up some gifts.
Who knows? All I can assure you is that “become the victim of a car theft” was not on that list.

It’s not too often you’ll hear Major League Baseball managers forcefully and publicly criticize their own players. But that’s exactly what Los Angeles Angels manager Ron Washington did on Tuesday after a 7-6 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.
And it all started with an extremely questionable managerial decision.
With the bases loaded for the Angels in the eighth inning against struggling Cardinals reliever JoJo Romero, Washington called for a suicide squeeze.
