The alcohol options at major NCAA events will reportedly loosen up.
Alcohol is starting to become more and more popular at NCAA events after major campuses not allowing it for decades.
Now, the NCAA has “made some tweaks to host site policies around alcohol sales to allow for hard seltzer and cider to be sold in addition to beer/wine,” according to Bryan Fischer.
That means those of you looking to crush some White Claws might be in business.

In an exclusive interview with SI, the Alabama coach talks about the need for more NIL regulations, player safety and the latest rules changes.
Dressed in a pink golf polo shirt, dark slacks and loafers, Nick Saban leans back in a cushioned chair, props his foot on a coffee table full of championship rings and makes one thing very clear: He is not against players earning compensation from their name, image and likeness.
However, the Alabama football coach does not support the current mechanisms by which it happens.

The NBA has been absolutely on fire since returning from the All-Star break, kicking the action into high gear for the final stretch before the playoffs. Some have speculated this could be commissioner Adam Silver auditioning for the Disney CEO job, and if that’s the case, what a brilliant move to have Scott Foster spice up the action:

New York has won nine straight and is on the verge of cracking the top five as it vies for a top-four spot in the East.
The top spot in this week’s power rankings still belongs to the Bucks even after their winning streak was spoiled over the weekend.
The only change among the top five was the Nuggets swapping places with the Celtics, who have now dropped in consecutive weeks after spending many uninterrupted weeks ranked No. 1. Banging on the door of the top tier is the Knicks, winners of nine in a row, two of which came at Boston’s expense.

The Top-seeded Crimson Tide have the best odds to win the conference tournament in Nashville.
The opening game of the SEC Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday evening at Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville.
The conference is home to five top-25 teams and a few more could make a case for themselves over the next several days.

Forget tanking. With a breakout star, the Thunder are thinking playoffs.
Whenever the Thunder are home with two days off between games, the Quail Creek Golf & Country Club has a trespasser. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has access to all the amenities at Oklahoma City’s 55,000-square-foot practice facility, from a smoothie bar to a 27-seat film room. It’s what he can’t get there that takes him to the outskirts of the city: a tennis court.

The WBC returns for the first time in six years on Tuesday, with a stacked field set to battle over the next two weeks.
Welcome back to the World Baseball Classic. The tournament will kick off Tuesday when Cuba plays the Netherlands at 11 p.m. ET, and tomorrow, a full slate of opening-round games will follow. It’s been a long time since the last WBC—six years!—and if you’ve forgotten in the interim, the event is one of the most delightful on the baseball calendar, not quite like anything else in the sport. There are plenty of reasons to tune in. Here are just a few.

Connecticut, Creighton, Marquette, and Xavier are among the favorites in the Big East men’s basketball conference tournament.
The men’s Big East tournament is set to get underway this week from legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Marquette wrapped up the regular season title last week, with their win last Tuesday over Butler.

Marquette enters Madison Square Garden as the No. 1 seed, but it is not the betting favorite to win the conference tournament.
The Big East tournament has been Villanova’s tournament to lose in recent years, but the Wildcats will likely have a tough time defending their title this season.
The action begins Wednesday at Madison Square Garden and fourth-seeded UConn is the favorite to win the tournament, just ahead of Marquette, which enters as the top seed.

Boston Celtics big man Grant Williams decided to talk trash to Cleveland Cavaliers’ star Donovan Mitchell with the game on the line on Monday. That turned out to be the wrong choice, as Williams gave the game away at the free-throw line.
Williams was fouled with just 0.8 seconds left and the game knotted at 109. Preparing to take his two shots from the charity stripe, Mitchell tried to get in his head, and it seemed to have worked.
Williams told Mitchell “I’m gonna make ’em both.”
That, however, did not happen.
