The Jaguars franchise tagged tight end Evan Engram, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday. Under the tag, which was anticipated around the league, Engram will earn $11.345 million in 2023. 
After spending his first five seasons with the Giants, Engram signed with the Jaguars last offseason and enjoyed the most productive season of his career, including a career-high in receptions (73) and receiving yards (766). His four receiving touchdowns were the most since his rookie season in 2017 when he scored six times.

Ja Morant is facing a police investigation after live streaming a video of himself flashing a weapon in a bar.
The Memphis Grizzlies star is currently away from the team after he filmed himself holding a handgun while partying. It wasn’t clear at the time where he was, but police in Glendale, Colorado now believe he was at a local bar, according to TMZ.
The authorities “have confirmed the incident took place at a bar in Glendale … We are investigating the matter,” the police said in a statement to the outlet.

The Chiefs are not expected to place the franchise tag on Orlando Brown Jr., which means the offensive tackle could become a free agent next week, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Had Kansas City decided to use the tag on Brown, the offensive tackle would have made just under $20 million next year.
Kansas City acquired Brown from the Ravens ahead of the 2021 season when Brown was entering the final year of his rookie deal.
