The Saints and the former Raiders quarterback are a natural pair, while Woody Johnson, Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh wait for their best option to command their franchise.
Contrary to popular belief, the Jets are not going to come to regret the events of Monday, March 6.
The signing of Derek Carr by the Saints is not some sort of detonation point for a potentially wild NFL offseason involving copious quarterback movement. This is not some kind of WallStreetBets moment in which the Jets will be left penniless, wishing they’d gotten in on Radio Shack sooner.

Let’s see, now.
Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant shows a gun pointed down that never fires at a strip club in the Denver area in a social media video from 4:19 a.m. last Saturday. Morant is not arrested, though police are now investigating the matter. And Memphis removes Morant from the team for two games or more after the NBA started looking into the situation on Saturday.
Memphis (38-25) is in second place in the Western Conference. Morant, the second player picked in the 2019 NBA Draft, is ninth in the NBA in scoring with 27.1 points a game.

Scary scenes for the veteran early on in spring training.
Red Sox infielder Justin Turner was forced to exit Monday’s spring training game early after suffering a scary injury in the first inning.
During his first at-bat of the game, an errant pitch from Tigers right-hander Matt Manning ran inside and struck Turner directly in the head. The veteran went to the ground, visibly in pain, and Turner was eventually escorted to the clubhouse by Boston’s medical staff while blood could be seen on his face where he was hit by the pitch.

The 2023 NFL Draft Scouting Combine has come and gone. The next step in the process for most players and teams are the various Pro Days leading up to the event.
Those begin almost immediately, with Indiana hosting NFL teams to take a look at their Draft-eligible players on Tuesday.
But before we begin that, we can take some time to reflect upon the Underwear Olympics, where NFL teams attempt to gain information about football players while they wear no pads or helmets and face no defenders.
There is some valuable information to be gleaned, mostly from the interview process.

He was suspended in March 2022 for gambling on NFL games.
The NFL announced Monday that Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been reinstated nearly a year since being suspended for violating the league’s gambling policy. He can now participate in all team activities.
Ridley was suspended in March 2022 while with the Falcons for gambling on NFL games. He said on Twitter he wagered $1,500 and did not have a gambling problem shortly after the news broke.
