The 76ers were defeated by the Celtics in the second round of the playoffs, losing in Game 7 in what was ultimately a blowout.
It seems ex-Sixers guard Ben Simmons, who left the team on bad terms when he was traded to the Nets in February 2022, was tuned into the game, and he didn’t waste his opportunity to have a laugh at the expense of his former team.
Simmons posted a story to his Instagram account in which he showed Boston and Philadelphia’s Game 7 clash on the TV in the background late into the fourth quarter.

New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner is (subtly) calling out Ja Morant for being a fake gangster after flashing a weapon on Instagram … again!
On Sunday, hours after the Memphis Grizzlies star was caught brandishing a weapon on social media, Gardner posted an apparent dig at Morant’s penchant for guns.

Gardner, the NFL’s reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year, tweeted, “Everybody have guns bro. No need to post it on IG live lol.

After falling to the Celtics in a 112–88 Game 7 loss on Sunday, the 76ers were the subject of many jokes on NBA Twitter. But of all the online reactions to the embarrassing defeat, none may have been as ruthless as the one fired off by Philadelphia’s second-round playoff opponent.
The Celtics, behind a record 51-point effort from Jayson Tatum, sent the third-seeded Sixers home in a dominant outing that saw the East’s No. 2 seed lead by as much as 30 points down the stretch.

On Sunday, the NBA got a dream scenario. Two classic franchises — the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers — facing each other in a Game 7. During that game, ABC/ESPN cameras showed Barstool founder Dave Portnoy.
Portnoy is an outspoken Boston sports fan, and as such, a big supporter of the Celtics. During one of the Celtics massive runs in which they took a 26- point lead, ABC/ESPN cameras cut to the Boston crowd going bonkers.
And one of the fans they featured was Barstool’s Portnoy.

After getting a late start to the 2023 season, Phillies slugger Bryce Harper appears to be making up for lost time.
That goes for his scorching bat—the two-time MVP has slashed .361/.439/.611 through his first nine games—and his trademark fiery passion for the game. He demonstrated the latter in Philadelphia’s 4-0 loss to the Rockies on Sunday afternoon.
After hurling a scoreless, hitless seventh inning of relief for Colorado, pitcher Jake Bird fixed his eyes on the Phillies’ dugout.

The 76ers had the advantage in the Eastern Conference semifinals, holding a 3-2 lead over the Celtics through five games. But they failed to get the job done.
Jayson Tatum’s hot hand proved too much for Philadelphia’s defense to handle, as Boston’s superstar scored 51 points, breaking Stephen Curry’s record for the most points in a Game 7 in NBA history.
After losing the pivotal Game 6 and falling short in Game 7, the Sixers’ season ended in disappointment yet again. And Twitter was not too forgiving over their collapse against the Celtics on Sunday.
