Arizona State AD Ray Anderson apparently has complete confidence the PAC-12 will survive.
The PAC-12 continues to hunt for a new media deal, and the lack of an agreement and guaranteed payday for conference members is one of the biggest stories in college sports.
With every day that passes without a deal, schools will wonder more and more if there’s more security elsewhere.
Well, Anderson isn’t sweating, despite the fact no deal has been reached and it’s past the middle of May.

The conference finals are off to a rollicking good start. The Nuggets held on for a 132–126 win over the Lakers on Tuesday night, building a 20-point lead before white-knuckling through the fourth quarter. The stars starred out. Anthony Davis had 40 points and 10 rebounds. LeBron James put up a casual 26/12/9. And Nikola Jokic absolutely dominated, amassing 34 points, 21 rebounds and 14 assists to lead Denver. (Jamal Murray added 31 points of his own for good measure.)
The second half was particularly interesting. After the Nuggets built their lead, the Lakers came storming back.

Warriors superstar Stephen Curry announced Tuesday he’s entering into a “mentorship and strategic alliance” with 2023 NBA prospect Scoot Henderson.
Per a press release from Curry’s company it was disclosed that Henderson, a point guard who played in the G League for the past two seasons, would “gain the support and mentorship of Curry as he looks to take ownership of his off-court business enterprise and brand.”
The four-time NBA champion said he’s eager to take Henderson under his wing and has high hopes for the presumed top-three pick in next month’s draft.

On Wednesday night, San Antonio emerged as the big winners of the NBA draft lottery when the franchise was awarded the No. 1 pick in June’s draft.
It’s expected the Spurs will use the top pick to draft French phenom Victor Wembanyama.
The 19 year-old dominant 7-foot-4 big man, who many regard as the greatest prospect since LeBron James, had the NBA world buzzing after telling ESPN he expects ‘to win a ring’ immediately.
“I’m a team player, I’m going to make everything to win as many games as I can.

Two days after he was suspended for holding a gun in an Instagram Live video over the weekend, Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant issued a statement Tuesday night taking responsibility for his actions and acknowledging how many people he’s let down with his actions.
“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do,” Morant’s statement read, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. “My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.

It’s safe to say that Ja Morant will finally receive ample punishment for waving firearms around on social media. At least based on NBA Commissioner Adam Silver’s reaction.
Shortly after the video of Silver’s reaction dropped, Ja Morant’s PR team went into crisis mode and issued an apology.

Speaking with ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Silver made his first public comments on the video from May 14 showing Morant holding a firearm with longtime friend Davonte Pack.
