Lots of people know who Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is largely because of her on-the-court antics and questionable (at best) character, which isn’t all that surprising.
But it’s also easy to lose sight of the fact that she’s also a pretty talented basketball player, and she proved that in historic fashion earlier Sunday.
In a matchup with the Minnesota Lynx (a 70-62 loss for Chicago), Reese recorded 10 points and 16 rebounds for a double-double. That marked the 10th game in a row she finished with a double-double stat line, which set a WNBA record.

Australian Cameron Davis won the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit for the second time. It also marks his second career PGA Tour title.
One man’s loss is another man’s treasure, and that mantra certainly applied to the conclusion of the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
With Cameron Davis in the clubhouse at 18-under-par, Akshay Bhatia arrived on the 72nd hole tied for the lead. The 18th hole is a long par-4, measuring 472 yards.

Caitlin Clark added to her dangerous run as a rookie with an impressive win over a league legend Sunday.
Clark and the Fever nabbed their eighth win of the season with an 88-82 win over the Phoenix Mercury. After making history against the Seattle Storm on Thursday, Clark nearly made the record books again, finishing Sunday’s game one rebound short of a triple-double. Clark tallied 15 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. Her play reminded viewers of the dual threat that Clark presents as an adept scorer and facilitator.

If there were ever a headline that I never thought I would write in my career, this one would be it. At the IFAF World Junior Championships, the United States failed to earn a medal after losing to Japan and Austria.
Yes, America lost to Japan and Austria. In football. American Football. It’s right in the name. AMERICAN FOOTBALL!
After destroying Panama, 86-12, the United States advanced to the semifinals at the IFAF U20 Championships to play Japan. But the Japanese absolutely demolished the American side. In FOOTBALL.

The final round of the 44th Senior Open at Newport Country Club has been suspended until Monday due to adverse weather conditions.
A little after 3:00 p.m. ET, the United States Golf Association (USGA) suspended play at the U.S. Senior Open as dangerous storms rolled into the Newport, Rhode Island area.
Tournament officials tried to get ahead of the weather, scheduling final round tee times to begin at 8:20 a.m. ET.

Jeremiah Davenport (who is 25) had a night to remember during the NBA Draft in Brooklyn, NY, but not because he was selected by any team.
The former college basketball player who suited up for the Cincinnati Bearcats and Arkansas Razorbacks was in Washington Heights with an unnamed, 24-year-old friend in the early hours of June 29. Both men were in a BMW X5 with tinted windows that was double-parked at the northwest corner of Nagel Avenue and West 204th Street, according to the New York Post.

We’re keeping track of every 2024 NBA free agency agreement and trade here.
The Boston Celtics are NBA champions, the 2024 draft class has come and gone, and now it’s time for the free agent frenzy. The league has already seen some wild trades in the early days of the 2024 offseason, and it’s only going to get more chaotic when NBA free agency opens on Sunday, June 30 at 6 p.m. ET.
While signings can’t be officially announced until July 6, teams are allowed negotiate with free agents at the start of the moratorium.

Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve threw a temper tantrum and was booted from Sunday’s game against the Mets at Citi Field.
Altuve’s outburst might’ve been justified based on the missed call by the umps and the momentum shift it produced in the eighth inning.
With two runners in scoring position and two outs in the seventh, Altuve stepped up to the at-bat and worked himself to a 1-1 count before fouling a ball off his foot, which jumped to third base for New York’s Mark Vientos to scoop and throw to first.
