The Chicago Bears didn’t select quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall draft pick last month to make the chase for their starting job into a suspenseful.
So no suspense. No mystery.
Caleb Williams is officially the Bears starting quarterback for 2024.
“No conversation,” head coach Matt Eberflus told reporters at the start of the team’s rookie minicamp. “He’s the starter.”

Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t think Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokić deserved the NBA MVP award this season. And Shannon Sharpe takes issue with that.
On NBA on TNT Wednesday, Shaq unleashed a jealousy-filled rant, where he complained that Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander should have been named MVP after averaging 30.1 points per game and leading the second-youngest roster in the league to the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
“I’m not happy with this one,” O’Neal said.
The Indiana Pacers, in a nail-biting turn of events, find themselves in a 0-2 playoff series hole against the New York Knicks.
Adding salt to the wound is Pacers coach Rick Carlisle’s losing battle against NBA refs.

Golf Channel commentator Brandel Chamblee, a staunch critic of both LIV Golf and the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), has changed his opinion on professional golf’s current state of affairs.
He now believes the PGA Tour should complete a deal with the PIF, a reversal from his previous stances.
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle has been fined $35,000 for criticizing the officiating during his team’s playoff series against the Knicks.
Nobody in professional golf has been a more staunch critic of the Saudi government, its Public Investment Fund, and their ties to LIV Golf than Brandel Chamblee. When the PGA Tour announced a framework agreement with the Saudi PIF he described it as “one of the saddest days” in the sport’s history, but as a new reality has taken shape, Chamblee now believes a deal must be struck between the PGA Tour and the Saudis to end this ever-growing divide in professional golf.

Kansas City Chiefs long snapper James Winchester knew the relationship was for real when he saw Travis Kelce “smiling and blushing” over Taylor Swift’s first appearance at the team’s win over the Chicago Bears in September.
On Wednesday’s episode of the Like a Farmer podcast, Winchester told host Pat Spinosa he was skeptical of Kelce and Swift’s rumored relationship until the moment the Chiefs’ equipment manager pointed out the pop star in the Kelce family suite.
So then he went straight to the source: Travis Kelce.
