Pat Forde is not happy that West Virginia choose not to cave to cancel culture and fire basketball coach Bob Huggins.
Huggins has been taking some fire after jokingly calling Xavier fans “Catholic f*gs” during a radio interview earlier this week.
It was clearly a very poor attempt at humor, and Huggins quickly apologized for his poor choice of words.

One of the beautiful things about the NFL’s release day is the leaks. Nobody waits for the 8 p.m. unveiling. Not even the NFL.
There are enough NFL schedule leaks this day to sink a battle ship.
And the league, not to be outdone, tips some games of its own to keep attention high.
Well, today is schedule release day and the leaks have begun.
Early Thursday, the NFL announced the Chiefs and the Raiders, two very long time AFC West rivals, will play at 1 p.m. on Christmas Day.

The NFL is revealing the full schedule for all 32 teams on Thursday night, but ahead of the complete announcement, it appears that we now know which teams will play in the league’s season opener this fall.
As expected, the Super Bowl champion Chiefs will host the NFL season opener at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night, Sept. 7 against the Lions, according to a report from Alex Chippin of The Score.

LeBron James and the Lakers were unable to end their series with the Warriors on Wednesday night, losing Game 5 to the defending champions 121–106.
Los Angeles, who saw Anthony Davis leave Game 5 with a head injury, got off to a slow start and was never able to recover. The series now heads back to L.A. for Game 6 on Thursday with the Lakers holding onto a 3–2 lead.

Jets fans won’t have to wait long to find out whether their team is a true contender in the AFC with new quarterback Aaron Rodgers under center.
The full 2023 NFL schedule will be released on Thursday, but some dates and matchups have already been announced or reported on. On Thursday morning, the Jets and Bills announced that they will face off at Metlife Stadium in Week 1 of the season.
The battle between AFC East foes led by Rodgers and his fellow superstar quarterback Josh Allen will take place on Monday, Sept. 11 at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC.

Notre Dame may be in the market for a new apparel deal.
The Irish’s exclusive negotiating window with current apparel sponsor Under Armour has expired, sources tell Sports Illustrated, thrusting arguably college football’s most valuable brand into the open market.
Notre Dame’s 10-year contract with Under Armour, believed to be worth $90 million, ends after next season. UA replaced Adidas as Notre Dame’s apparel outfit in 2014 in what was at the time believed to be the most lucrative apparel contract in college athletics history.
