The NBA on TNT crew has had an excellent start to the postseason so far. Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson have been at the top of their games breaking down key moments and having some fun while doing it. It’s the best studio show in all of sports and will remain so until they call it quits.
But what Charles Barkley did Tuesday night crossed a disgusting line and had fans everywhere feeling sick.
What did the NBA legend do? He cleaned his cell phone by licking it with his tongue.
For real.

When Reds pitcher Luis Cessa moved from the Reds’ bullpen to their rotation last August, he understood his job was changing, with a new strategy and approach and routine. But he was caught off guard by one of the byproducts. The switch meant he was about to spend a lot more time in the dugout. And that meant he was about to spend a lot more time considering potential home-run celebrations.
Cessa took his time. (After all: No one wants to introduce something new in September.
LeBron James and the Lakers took Game 1 of their second-round series with the defending champion Warriors, winning a tight game on the road 117–112.
Anthony Davis had a huge night for the Lakers, scoring 30 points and pulling down 23 rebounds.
Golden State had a chance in the final seconds of the game to pull even, but Jordan Poole missed a long three-point attempt that didn’t seem to be the best choice at that moment.
Charles Barkley wasn’t a fan of Poole’s decision and he let that be known while breaking down the play in the postgame show.
Before we get into some betting trends, one thing we need to say: Welcome back, Bryce Harper. The Phillies slugger and two-time NL MVP made a surprisingly fast return from Tommy John surgery, making his 2023 debut Tuesday night in Philadelphia’s loss to the Dodgers. Harper went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. Not great, but give it time. Harper is too good to keep down for long. You might want to give it some time before looking at player props, but take advantage if you’re playing DFS: On Fanduel Wednesday, there are 20 outfielders with higher salaries than Young.
The 2023 Masters marked Rory McIlroy’s ninth opportunity at completing the career Grand Slam with a win at Augusta National. And he entered Thursday’s first round convinced that this was going to be the year that he finally slayed that dragon.
While having confidence is a must for any professional athlete to have any shot at succeeding, there is a fine line between having self-belief and getting ahead of yourself.
While much of the focus during the 2023 draft was on incoming players, the business of the NFL also saw the resolution of the two biggest questions about veteran quarterbacks in the league. Perhaps the draft was a deadline for both deals. And—no surprise here—the party with the most leverage in each equation got the better of the other side. Let’s examine.
Rodgers and Jackson finally saw their situations resolved, just in time for the rest of the NFL’s important busnisess to keep rolling.

Everything you need to know ahead of the 2023 Kentucky Derby
It’s almost time to “Run for the Roses.”
The 149th Kentucky Derby is set for this weekend, from historic Churchill Downs. Churchill Downs will look a little different this year, particularly in the paddock area, as the historic venue is undergoing some upgrades ahead of next year’s 150th Kentucky Derby.
As for the race itself, Forte is the favorite, currently listed at 3-1. Forte drew post position No. 15, and will look to become the seventh horse to win from that spot.
One day, names on paper will become careers. They’ll include statistics and accolades, letting us know exactly how the 2023 NFL draft played out.
But for now, there’s no certainty. All we can do is guess, and so let’s attempt to project how the 16 AFC teams did over three days in Kansas City.
Let’s start from the bottom and end with our favorite AFC class.
16. Denver Broncos
The Broncos didn’t have a pick until the end of the second round, which they used on a receiver (Marvin Mims Jr.)—arguably the biggest strength Denver has on its entire roster.
