Ja Morant’s behavior is getting old.
And it seems plenty of other people agree — including Portland Trailblazers star Damian Lillard. In the wake of the Memphis Grizzlies point guard’s gun-waving Instagram Live, Lillard liked a tweet claiming that Morant is simply trying to “act hood.”
“Notice how Dame is actually from the hood, and he don’t go around acting like Ja Morant, who is from the suburbs trying to act hood,” the tweet reads.

Lillard has since unliked the tweet.
Still, the sentiment is a popular one, and fans are having fun with the situation.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer and NFL analyst took the current Dallas head coach to task.
The Cowboys will enter 2023 with a new offensive coaching arrangement, as the team replaced Kellen Moore at offensive coordinator with Brian Schottenheimer. Additionally, head coach Mike McCarthy is expected to take over as the full-time play-caller.
When asked why he made that decision, McCarthy recently said Moore leaned too heavily on the passing game at times and tried to “light up the scoreboard” instead of thinking about running the ball to rest the defense.
“I don’t desire to be the No.

College baseball being played at an NFL stadium makes for an unusual scene, which is exactly what is happening in Minnesota this weekend. The Cambria College Classic is underway at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, which is home to the Vikings.
Here is a look at the setup:

Good afternoon from Minneapolis.

Saturday night’s XFL game between the Las Vegas Vipers and Seattle Sea Dragons had it all. From a spray-painted field, to extreme winds, to Josh Gordon’s game-winning touchdown in the final minute, what more could you ask for?
After shutting down due to COVID-19 in 2020, the XFL returned on the Sunday after the Super Bowl. While the first three weeks have seen plenty of on-field action, the majority of headlines thus far have stemmed from various occurrences around the game itself.
That was the case again in Sin City on Saturday night.

The wide receiver continued his strong start with the Seattle Sea Dragons.
Josh Gordon is reviving his football career this spring by playing for the Seattle Sea Dragons in the XFL. On Saturday, Gordon showed he still has something left in the tank.
With Seattle trailing by two points on fourth-and-2 from its own 35-yard line with just over a minute left in the game, Gordon caught a 65-yard touchdown from quarterback Ben DiNucci to give his team the lead. Seattle went on to defeat the host Vegas Vipers, 30-26, improving to 1-2 on the season while dropping Vegas to 0-3.

The Kentucky quarterback prospect explained how the viral beverage mixture originated at the NFL combine.
Quarterback prospect Will Levis had a good day at the NFL combine on Saturday, showing off his strong arm in an attempt to boost his draft stock. But while he allowed his talents to shine on the field, he also got a chance to explain a personal oddity off the field.
Levis made news last summer when he was seen putting mayonnaise in his coffee instead of usual accompaniments, such as cream or sugar.

The two-time Super Bowl champion became the first athlete to host the show since 2020.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continued to live his best offseason, hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time this weekend. When all eyes were on him during the monologue, Kelce poked fun at himself, his brother Jason and Patrick Mahomes.
Kelce opened the show by performing an impression of Mahomes saying “more, more, more,” just like he does to pump up the Chiefs on the sideline.

Josh Gordon is back playing the game that he loves and is having a lot of fun along the way. As is his quarterback, Ben DiNucci.
That was evident during Saturday night’s matchup against the Las Vegas Vipers,
Gordon, 31, was drafted in the sixth round of the XFL Draft last month by the Seattle Sea Dragons. He returned to Washington, where he played two years with the Seahawks, and has quickly become DiNucci’s best red zone target.

There’s a new UFC women’s flyweight champion of the world.
Valentina Shevchenko’s reign as the UFC women’s flyweight titleholder has come to an end after the Kyrgyzstan native was stunned by challenger Alexa Grasso at UFC 285 on Saturday night.
Grasso entered the fray as a massive underdog but pulled off a stunning submission with a minute left in the fourth round to secure the upset victory over the reigning champion.
The co-main event was electric, as Grasso put on the performance of a lifetime in order to shock the world and snatch the belt from Shevchenko’s grasp.

Two of the greatest people I have met as a sportswriter are former LSU baseball coach/athletic director Skip Bertman and Alabama football coach Nick Saban.
Each is consistently the smartest person in the room. When both often sat in the same room when Saban was LSU’s football coach from 2000-04 and Bertman was AD starting in 2001, let’s just say it was a tie. Bertman won the last one, though, when he said Saban would not succeed in the NFL and his future was on the college level.
