Whew. I gotta say, if the world somehow ends between now and when NASCAR returns in a few weeks after the Olympic break, they went out with a BANG. 
Seriously. There was so much piss and vinegar mixed with testosterone yesterday in Indianapolis I wasn’t sure everyone was gonna make it out alive. Serious question … did someone kill Chase Elliott’s cat? Piss in his cereal? Sleep with his sister?
Our man was an absolute ball of fire from the onset, just hurling insults at NASCAR like it was his job and dropping enough cuss words to make your Mother-in-Law faint. What a day.

LeBron James was selected as one of Team USA’s flag bearers for the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics on Monday.
James, of the Los Angeles Lakers, is a two-time gold medalist. He helped USA Basketball win gold in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and the 2012 Olympics in London.
“It’s an incredible honor to represent the United States on this global stage, especially in a moment that can bring the whole world together,” James said in a statement.

The Texans surprised everyone with an AFC South title last season.

LeBron James has been selected to be the Team USA flag-bearer at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on Friday, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced Monday.

First, God made the Dog Days of Summer – that period from early July through early August when temperatures are the hottest, the thrill of summer vacation has worn off a tad because it’s so freakin’ hot, and there’s just not a lot of sports to swim in as the weeks without real football pile up.
Then the college football gods made the Media Days of Summer, which are truly Dog Days themselves, even with air conditioning. The Southeastern Conference held 16 coaches and players press conferences over four days last week in Dallas.
