The former Huskies quarterback has found a new home for the 2023 season.
Sam Huard, the former quarterback at Washington, announced Monday that he will play at FCS program Cal Poly next season.
“Excited for the next chapter, #rollstangs,” Huard said in a tweet.
Huard joins a Cal Poly program that finished 2-9 and 1-7 in the Big Sky Conference in the 2022 season.
Huard, the No. 5 quarterback in the 2021 edition of the SI99, entered the transfer portal on Jan. 10. The move stems from the success of Huskies quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

Realignment and scheduling model changes will give these two conferences a new look in the upcoming season.
