All season long at Sports Illustrated, I have been picking on Patrick Corbin because whenever he is pitching, games tend to hit the over for their run total. It’s a bet I am locking and loading again today, and I am also applying it to my DFS lineup. Oddsmakers have the run total for tonight’s Nationals-Giants game listed at 8.5, but I am expecting plenty more.
To begin with, let’s focus on Corbin himself. Corbin has been shaky to start the season. His ERA is 5.17 with an xERA of 5.82, and his expected SLG is in the bottom 14% of the league.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is an elite athlete. Obviously, he dominates on the football field. He’s arguably one of the two or three best quarterbacks in the world. He happens to be a very good golfer, too.
Now, he’s showing off his baseball skills. Well, softball, really. Allen appeared in a charity softball event held at Sahlen Field, home of the Buffalo Bisons — the Triple-A affiliate for the Toronto Blue Jays.
In what appears to be a Home Run Derby, the Buffalo Bills quarterback is seen LAUNCHING balls well beyond the softball fence.

We’re living in a time where there is no shortage of hot takes being screamed on TV at all hours of the day. And we all know by now that most of those hot takes are not good.
But what Mike Greenberg said on Tuesday morning’s Get Up! might be one of the worst takes that you’ll ever hear.
Greenberg went on national TV and made a case for LeBron James to not play in Wednesday night’s Game 5 against the Warriors. He even said that James shouldn’t fly with the team to San Francisco for the game and that he should watch it from the comfort of his very big home.

The SB Nation debates the newest entry into the MCU.
We can’t stop talking about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It’s been a major talking point in our Slack, there are numerous spoiler-free threads where we discuss the movie without ruining it for our coworkers, and we all want to talk about just how good this movie was.
It would be a sad, pathetic existence if the only movies we could ever talk about are about sports. One can only watch Draft Day so many times. So, in an effort to free us from our endless discussion cycle today we debate if GoG Vol.

Travis and Jason Kelce’s mother Donna, one of the stars of Super Bowl week, is in the news again after apparently breaking some major NFL scheduling news on her Facebook page.
The NFL’s schedule reveal isn’t until Thursday night, but plenty of fans are doing digging for early clues. The Twitter account @NerdingOnNFL uncovered a Facebook comment from Donna Kelce made earlier this month reporting that the Chiefs and Eagles will face off in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII during Week 2 of the new NFL season.

ESPN’s John Anderson apologized for a comment about Vegas Golden Knights player Zach Whitecloud.
Anderson was breaking down the Vegas Golden Knights crushing the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 Monday night when he chose to make a very unfortunate joke about Whitecloud, who is the first indigenous NHL player of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.
“Zach Whitecloud? What kind of name is Whitecloud? Great name if you’re a brand of toilet paper. His first goal of the playoffs as well,” Anderson said Monday night while breaking down highlights of the game.
