Speculation around the Packers quarterback’s future continues to swirl.
With speculation swirling over Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’s next move, a familiar name from his recent past is resurfacing.
That would be Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who served as Rodgers’s offensive coordinator for three seasons in Green Bay. It was under Hackett’s tutelage that Rodgers rejuvenated his career, winning MVP awards in 2020 and ’21.
Rodgers had nothing but praise for his former offensive coordinator while speaking on the Pat McAfee show on Tuesday.

The Broncos and the Saints are finalizing a trade for head coach Sean Payton
One of the biggest head-coaching dominoes in the NFL appears ready to fall. According to a new report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Denver Broncos are closing in on a deal with the New Orleans Saints that would open the door for Sean Payton to become the next head coach of the Broncos.
Payton last coached during the 2021 season, then stepped away for this past year.

The former Texans linebacker is reuniting with the franchise to become its next coach.
The Texans are hiring 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans to be the franchise’s new coach on a six-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Ryans steps into a Houston organization that finished this past season 3-13-1. The former star of the Texans defense as a player will now look to repair a team that hasn’t had a winning record since 2019 (10–6).
Houston fired coach Lovie Smith just hours after beating the Colts 32–31 to finish out the 2022 season.

The hiring comes after Denver fired Nathaniel Hackett after 15 games in his first season.
The Broncos and Saints have finalized a deal to land Sean Payton in Denver as their new coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Payton retired after the 2021 season and was still under contract with New Orleans.
Per ESPN, the Saints will send their third-round pick in 2024 and Payton to the Broncos in exchange for Denver’s ’23 first-round pick and next year’s second-round pick.
Payton will take over the role after Nathaniel Hackett was fired 15 games into his first season.
