Is it too early for NBA MVP voters to get buyer’s remorse?
The voters apparently got the wrong guy (sort of) after a horrendous postseason performance by newly-named MVP Joel Embiid on Wednesday.

After missing two games due to an LCL sprain and a fresh MVP award now in his trophy case, Embiid returned to the floor in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Former Texans and Cardinals star J.J. Watt retired from the NFL after the 2022 season, but that seemingly hasn’t dissuaded fans from prodding him about potentially reversing that decision.
On Wednesday, Watt cleared the air over any speculation about his playing future, leaving behind little doubt regarding his plans.
Responding to a tweet from ProFootballTalk, Watt revealed his strategy for dealing with retirement questions, while also indicating that he has no plans to un-retire.
“Correct.

Angels two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani was once again sharp on the mound during his outing against the Cardinals on Wednesday.
While he only pitched five innings during the inter-league clash, that didn’t stop him from racking up a multitude of punchouts.
In just five innings of work, Ohtani struck out 13 of St. Louis’s batters. Despite surrendering four runs, including two home runs, Ohtani still walked away having recorded a strikeout on all but two of the 15 outs he recorded.

Rays shortstop Wander Franco turned heads on Wednesday while making a jaw-dropping play in the infield.
After securing a hard-hit grounder up the middle, Franco nonchalantly spun the ball up in the air to himself before barehanding it and firing it across the diamond to first base.
Franco’s throw to first beat Pirates’ Bryan Reynolds in plenty of time, capping off what was a smooth and flashy play from the 22-year-old.

Bryce Young to the Panthers; CJ Stroud to the Texans; Anthony Richardson to the Colts; Baker Mayfield to the Buccaneers. These are a number of QBs with a new home that former Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is keeping an eye on next season.
Working as a senior football consultant for Tampa Bay, Arians is guiding the team in their rebuild as they enter next season after three years with Tom Brady.
