Kellen Moore will reportedly join the Los Angeles Chargers.
Moore and the Cowboys mutually decided to go their separate ways Sunday, and it didn’t take the young OC to find a new home.
The former Boise State gunslinger is expected to become the new OC of the Chargers, according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
Moore had worked for the Cowboys since 2018 after several years as a player in the NFL.

Former #Cowboys OC Kellen Moore is expected to become the #Chargers OC, sources tell me and @TomPelissero.

When Troy Aikman and Joe Buck left Fox for Monday Night Football, Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen were bumped to the ‘A team.’ It was a blessing in disguise.
Olsen has quickly become one of the best in the business, if not the best in the business. The 37-year-old former All-Pro tight end has a knack for being in the booth.
Although Olsen is in just his second season with the new gig, NFL fans have sung his praises all season, and Sunday’s NFC Championship was no exception. People at home, especially those who had not watched him all season, were enamored by Fox’s newest commentator.

The Eagles this season have been able to adjust to every punch thrown at them, and the NFC title game was the biggest example.
Football and combat sports get compared to each other a lot. When two great teams meet up with the highest stakes on the line, it gets called a heavyweight fight. Those two teams turn the game into a slow, grinding, and physical battle on the line of scrimmage, which gets called a slugfest.
What we rarely see is how NFL teams adjusting their gameplan and making minor tweaks is much like any prizefighter in combat sports.

Fernand Lopez is responsible for the recently departed heavyweight’s entry to UFC in 2015.
SI’s MMA notes, quotes, and anecdotes run every Monday morning.

Fernand Lopez has helped build two of the best heavyweights in the world as head coach of the MMA Factory in France.
Currently preparing Ciryl Gane for his shot at the world heavyweight title against Jon Jones in March at UFC 285, Lopez was also the head coach who helped bring Francis Ngannou to prominence.

KANSAS CITY — Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt had a candid and visceral response to the penalty that basically cost his team the AFC Championship Game Sunday. And he’s getting cooked on social media for it.
But he has responded to his critics.
“Yep ppl will post anything on social media for likes and views,” Pratt wrote from his Instagram account. “I have real feelings sometimes they are raw. If you love something as much I do sometimes things will be said in the heated (sic) of the moment. But I know what type of teammate I am. And what type of man I am.

After the ‘Royal Rumble,’ WWE has a difficult needle to thread with Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes.
The 2023 Royal Rumble ended with one of the great angles in WWE history, although at press time it does not appear it will be leading to the main event of WrestleMania.

From overuse to defending refs at all costs, rules analysts hurt NFL broadcasts.
1. “The rules analyst job is the most overrated thing to ever happen in sports broadcasting.”
I wrote that in Traina Thoughts two weeks ago. After watching the AFC and NFC championship games Sunday, I can say that the rules analyst job is not only the most overrated thing to happen in sports broadcasting, but it’s also become the most annoying thing in sports broadcasting.
The rules analyst should be brought on ONLY to explain a rule that the audience may not know or understand.

The All-Star duo went back and forth on Instagram after Saturday night’s controversial play.
After the Celtics escaped with a 125–121 overtime victory over the Lakers on Saturday night, LeBron James and Jayson Tatum engaged in some banter on Instagram following the controversial no-call at the end of regulation that had the NBA world abuzz.
Tatum appeared to hit James on the arm as he attempted a potential winning layup at the end of regulation. However, officials let the play go and did not make the foul call.

Sunday’s NFC championship win wasn’t a classic, but it will be remembered for how it served as another symbol of what Philadelphia has become under its coach.
Nick Sirianni leaned against a wall in a Lincoln Financial Field hallway, and as the Eagles coach recounted his speech from the night before to his team, he’d jogged his memory to pull a full prognosis on a horrific leg injury he suffered as a Mount Union sophomore 20 years ago.
He tore the muscle off the bone. He ripped every ligament in the ankle. He had compartment syndrome and a staph infection.
