Georgi Ivanov, the technical director of the Bulgarian Football Union, is under fire after commenting that no players of “other skin color” should play for the Bulgarian national team.
Ivanov defended his racist comments.
“I stand behind my words that my wish is to watch Bulgaria with Bulgarian players,” Ivanov said, per Balkan Insight. “As long as I’m director, a foreign player with a foreign passport or other skin color won’t play. I don’t want players from other countries to replace Bulgarian ones.

Christensen retired following the season as part of a series of team coaching staff moves.

Buccaneers quarterback coach Clyde Christensen retired following Tampa Bay’s wild card round loss to the Cowboys as part of a series of coaching moves triggered by head coach Todd Bowles.
Christensen was not going to be retained by Bowles next season, so he elected to retire. He will collect a salary on the final year of his contract, which is scheduled to expire following next season.

The star quarterback will lead the Chiefs into their fifth straight AFC Championship game less than a week after suffering a high-ankle sprain.
After a week of speculation regarding Patrick Mahomes’s injured ankle, Chiefs coach Andy Reid announced Friday his star quarterback will start against the Bengals in Sunday’s highly-anticipated AFC championship rematch.
Reid also told reporters Mahomes, who suffered a high-ankle sprain in the divisional win over the Jaguars on Jan. 21, is “moving around good” as questions continue to linger concerning any limitations in his mobility.

Joe Burrow is set to play for his second-straight AFC Championship on Sunday. As much as society, understandably, touts the former Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 overall pick as a larger-than-life figure, he’s just a normal dude.

The Miami Dolphins quarterback entered concussion protocol on Dec. 26 — 32 days ago — and still has not been cleared to participate in football activities.
A source told ESPN that Tagovailoa’s time in the protocol has been deliberate. During the past month, he has met with multiple doctors and specialists, and the source claims his recovery remains on track.
As the Dolphins prioritize his long-term health, Tagovailoa will not partake in next week’s Pro Bowl Games.

Victoria Azarenka wore a PSG shirt onto the court ahead of her semi-final match against Elena Rybakina at the Australian Open. She wasn’t able to wear the shirt from the well-known French soccer team for long, however, as she was forced to remove it after stepping onto the court.
Azarenka had been wearing the PSG shirt ahead of many of her matches at this year’s Australian Open and does so because it is her son’s favorite soccer club.
