The Lakers are finally making moves. Los Angeles acquired forward Rui Hachimura from the Wizards on Monday, per multiple reports. The Lakers will send Washington guard Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks in the deal. Hachimura, a former ninth overall pick, is in his fourth season in the NBA. He is averaging 13.0 points and 4.3 rebounds a night, while shooting 48.8% from the field. Nunn, also in his fourth year, is putting up 6.7 points per game. Let’s grade the trade for both sides.

Despite a disappointing end to his team’s season, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is standing behind head coach Mike McCarthy.
After the Cowboys’ 19-12 road loss to the 49ers in the NFC Divisional round, Jones said that McCarthy’s job was not in jeopardy.

Jones was asked if the result changed his decision on McCarthy’s future.

Washington also reportedly will receive draft picks as part of the deal.
The Wizards have traded forward Rui Hachimura to the Lakers in exchange for Kendrick Nunn, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and The Athletic’s Shams Charania. As part of the deal, Washington also will get a 2023 second-round draft pick via the Bulls, a ’29 second-round pick from the Lakers and the less favorable of either the Wizards’ or Lakers’ second-round picks in ’28. 
Hachimura, 24, was the No. 9 pick in the 2019 NBA draft and seemed to be unhappy in Washington.

The Purdue Boilermakers returned to No. 1 in the Associated Press men’s college basketball poll released Monday after some historic falls by the top two teams.
Purdue (19-1) replaced Houston (18-2) at No. 1 as the Cougars fell 56-55 at home to Temple on Sunday. On Saturday, No. 2 and defending national champion Kansas lost at home to TCU, 83-60, in one of coach Bill Self’s most lopsided setbacks in his two decades with the Jayhawks.
