When I previewed Wild Card weekend, I focused on the ages of the quarterbacks. The AFC featured all young guns, but the NFC was a battle between the old heads and the youngins. And it was the kids bouncing the veterans to advance to the NFL Divisional Round.
Brock Purdy (23) ousted Geno Smith (31). Daniel Jones (25) defeated Kirk Cousins (34). And Dak Prescott (29) sent Tom Brady (45) packing. Now, Prescott takes over as the elder statesman — he’s the only playoff quarterback left who has celebrated his 28th birthday, let alone his 29th.

The ESPN analyst said he was excited for this year’s show, but admitted he wishes another artist was performing.
ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith is under fire again for something he said on television, but this time it doesn’t have to do with sports.
On his Wednesday appearance on the Sherri show, Smith admitted he was excited for Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show this year, but he also wishes a different artist was performing: Beyoncé.
“There’s one thing she’s not, she ain’t Beyoncé,” Smith said, met with gasps and boos from the crowd.
