Rumors continue to fly about possible expansion impacting Major League Baseball.
The league is currently set up in configurations based on a combination of geography and tradition. But expansion could provide opportunities to rethink that alignment.
The 30 MLB teams could be joined by two franchises in fast growing cities like Las Vegas, Nashville, Charlotte or Austin. Former general manager Jim Bowden has some ideas for how that realignment could play out.
And some of his ideas are…controversial to say the least.

The new Broncos coach reportedly had no desire to work with the two-time Pro Bowler.
Before Sean Payton finalized a deal with the Broncos to become the franchise’s new head coach, his name was linked to several NFL jobs, including the Texans, Cardinals and Panthers.
However, as the dust settles on Payton’s new gig, Payton—a former Fox NFL analyst—reportedly had no desire to work for the Cardinals because he did not want to coach Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray, according to Fox NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw.

Vontae Davis just wanted somewhere to crash for the night.
The former NFL cornerback was arrested Saturday morning after going off the rails Friday night and causing a massive wreck on a South Florida highway hours later.
On Wednesday, new photos released by TMZ Sports revealed the crash scene, with Davis shown napping on the concrete ground and hands gracefully folded under his head as he slept the alcohol away after leaving a club.
Police found Davis asleep on the shoulder of the road, next to two wrecked vehicles, and arrested him for driving under the influence.

Kansas City’s coach knows hip hop.
It’s a fruitful time of year for music criticism. The Grammys are mere days in the rearview mirror, and Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show performance Sunday evening figures to draw a huge television audience.
Well, add Chiefs coach Andy Reid to the ranks of the nation’s music enthusiasts after a humorous media availability Wednesday afternoon. During the session, former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall asked Reid to name the three greatest rappers alive.

Teams are filling head coaching positions across the NFL. Every year, the media lists Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy as being the best candidate for every job. Yet, no team has hired him.
Of course, since Bieniemy is black, the cries of racism are loud. Reportedly, several teams want to interview him for an offensive coordinator position.

Chiefs’ OC Eric Bieniemy remains a prime candidate for the offensive coordinator jobs with the Washington Commanders and Baltimore Ravens, per sources.
