Commissioners determined preliminary dates for the additional Playoff games of the expanded College Football Playoff, voting to hold first-round games that conflict with the NFL and semifinals on midweek nights. CFP executive director Bill Hancock confirmed the dates during an interview with reporters following the final day of commissioner meetings this week in the Dallas suburb.
In the 2024 Playoff, the first-round games, played at the home site of the better seed, will kick off the third week of December. One game will be played Friday night, Dec. 20, and three games Saturday, Dec. 21.

Wild On Ice, a winner of three of five lifetime races, was euthanized on Thursday after suffering an injury to his left hind leg while training at Churchill Downs. The horse was preparing to run in the Kentucky Derby on May 6.
According to the horse’s owner, Frank Sumpter, the three-year-old ran five furlongs before being pulled up by the jockey while galloping on the backstretch.

Eddinson Paulino, the runner on second, hustled home and slid in just ahead of the throw from right fielder Grant Richardson.

He partnered with NFL to announce their YouTube Sunday Ticket and has collabed with footballers like JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquette King, Cam Newton, and Tyreek Hill on his channel.

The next Formula 1 silly season could be exactly that: silly. Very silly. Especially with rumors bouncing around that Lewis Hamilton might want to move to Ferrari, and now that Charles Leclerc may want to dash over to the Silver Arrows.
Although, he says that’s not true.

Dejuan Clayton, who spent the 2022–23 season at Cal, has entered the transfer portal in pursuit of an eighth season of college basketball, per Travis Branham of 247Sports. Clayton spent the first five years of his collegiate career at Coppin State, then played the 2021–22 season at Hartford before spending last season at Cal.
