The Chiefs have pick No. 31 in the 2023 NFL draft, the final pick in the first round. The reigning Super Bowl champions have had just one pick inside the Top 30 in the last five drafts, a fair trade-off considering their tremendous success on the field. Most of general manager Brett Veach’s focus has been on the defensive side of the ball the last few drafts. Case in point: The Chiefs used both of their first-round picks in 2022 on defenders and selected five defensive players in their first six picks last year.

ESPN released its final basketball recruitment rankings for the Class of 2023 on Tuesday. Bronny James, son of Lakers superstar LeBron James, has been climbing the rankings throughout his senior year, and he managed to crack the top 20 in ESPN’s final rankings.
James, who remains one of the last remaining uncommitted recruits in the class of 2023, has jumped up into the No. 19 spot in the ESPN’s Top 100. It’s a nice leap for Bronny, who was heralded as the No. 28 recruit back in March.

“I love Notre Dame. The people, and especially my teammates, are what makes this place special to me,” Buchner wrote in his announcement on Twitter. “I have decided to enter the transfer portal in order to explore my options, and decide what is best for my future.
The Saints are expected to take a defensive lineman (-120) with their first-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, according to SI Sportsbook. New Orleans owns the 29th pick, and has eight picks in total this year.
The Saints selected a defensive end, Jordan Jackson, in Round 6 of last year’s draft but he was released before the season began. Previous to that, the Saints had not drafted defensive tackles since 2016 (Sheldon Rankins and David Onyemata). The Saints also lost edge-rusher Marcus Davenport, who signed this offseason with the Vikings.
