Nobody has exploded more than this young talent at Texas.
When it comes to freshmen in college basketball, arguably nobody has exploded more than Texas Longhorns five-star Tre Johnson, who has looked like the real deal through the first week of the season.
Johnson, a top-five recruit in the 2024 class, has immediately taken over a starting spot in head coach Rodney Terry’s lineup, playing a team-high 39 minutes in Texas’s 80-72 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the season opener.
Detroit has a complete team and might be the most dangerous group to face in January, especially at Ford Field. But that doesn’t mean the Lions can’t lose.
Erik Spoelstra pulled a Chris Webber in Heat loss, and Jalen Rose looked like he saw a ghost.

Skenes came in with big expectations and surpassed all of them.
It’s hard to put into words how much one player could mean to a sports franchise. Patrick Mahomes to the Kansas City Chiefs, Steph Curry to the Golden State Warriors, Sidney Crosby to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In the same city as Crosby as past greats like Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Joe Greene, Franco Harris, and Ben Roethlisberger, Paul Skenes is the most impactful Pittsburgh Pirates player in over a decade.
Skenes is an anomaly in more ways than one. The 2023 No.
With New York’s star QB showing his age, the Jets’ road to 3-7 has been marked by struggle and silence.
Caitlin Clark is teeing it up in the pro-am at The Annika, an LPGA event in Florida, on Wednesday and quickly reminded the world that she’s a professional basketball player and not a professional golfer with a legitimately dangerous tee shot early in her round.
Clark has talked about her love of golf in the past and has played the game for years, but playing in front of fans is far different from a casual round with your friends. On top of that, Clark was paired with LPGA legend and host of the event, Annika Sorenstam, as well as World No. 1 Nelly Korda.
