Lexi Thompson, one of the biggest stars on the LPGA Tour, announced at the U.S. Women’s Open that she will retire.
At just 29 years old, Lexi Thompson, one of the faces of the LPGA Tour, will call it quits after the 2024 golf season.
Set to make her 18th appearance at the U.S. Women’s Open this week at Lancaster Country Club, Thompson will address the media at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday to detail her decision.
She first qualified for the U.S.

The Memorial Cup is in full-swing and the London Knights won their first two games at the historic tournament in 2024, capturing a win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Sunday, 5-4. 
For those who aren’t aware, the Memorial Cup is an annual tournament to determine the champion of the CHL (Canadian Hockey League). The CHL comprises three major-junior Canadian hockey leagues, the OHL (Ontario Hockey League), QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) and the WHL (Western Hockey League).

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. In the case of the Boston Celtics they’re both lucky and good. There’s no doubt that Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Co. deserve to be headed to the NBA Finals. After all, this is a team that went 64-18 in the regular season, had the best record in the entire league, and showed they have the tenacity in the playoffs to adjust to win several series.

With Tyrese Haliburton sidelined, it’s not entirely fair to judge Indiana’s playoff debacle against the Celtics, but there are clear issues that need to be addressed.

Ben Shelton squared off against Hugo Gaston in the opening round of the French Open. It wasn’t the American’s first time competing on the clay at Roland Garros, but it was his first meeting against a French player in the Grand Slam.
Shelton dropped the first set of the match before reeling off the next three sets to advance to the second round. Throughout the match that lasted two hours and 30 minutes, he couldn’t help but notice the very real home-court advantage Gaston drew from the crowd.
