Social media had a feast with the Twins scoring nine runs in the first inning of a game against the Yankees on Thursday night.
A total of thirteen batters came to the plate in a nine-run inning which resulted in an extremely short outing for New York starter Jhony Brito. The brilliant rookie, who came into the game with a solid 0.90 ERA, failed to make it out of the first inning as his ERA rose to a chilly 6.75.
Minnesota hit back-to-back-to-back home runs by Michael A. Taylor, Edouard Julien and Carlos Correa.

The Buffalo Sabres are playing their penultimate game on Thursday night against the Ottawa Senators. It’s the final home game of the season for the team who wraps up tomorrow night in Columbus. Backup goalie Devon Levi didn’t have the proper mask, so he got to work.
Levi is a 21-year-old goaltender from Montreal. He played college hockey at Northeastern University near Boston. Their season ended on March 11th and Levi got the call to the big club for the home stretch of the NHL season.
The Sabres did not make the playoffs, so their season ends on Friday night.

Start spreadin’ the news; Andrew Wiggins is back!
The Golden State Warriors remain one of the West’s prime contenders for the NBA Finals. Golden State is upping their contention a level after announcing that forward Andrew Wiggins will finally be ready to play. Best of all, his return arrives just in time for their first-round series against the Sacramento Kings.
It’s also a good sign for Wiggins, who’s been away from the team since Feb. 13 over personal issues. His lengthy, mysterious absence happened to lead to one scandalous rumor.

Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins has officially been cleared to return to action on Saturday for Game 1 of Golden State’s first-round playoff series against the Kings, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
This would be Wiggins’s first game appearance since Feb. 13 after he left the team to deal with a family matter as his father battles a “serious medical condition.” He returned to the team during the last week of the regular season, but missed the final 25 games of the season.

The Tampa Bay Rays are enjoying one of the most historic, unlikely starts to a season in MLB history.
With their 10th consecutive win just a few days ago, the Rays accomplished something that hadn’t been seen in 36 years.

But as of Thursday afternoon, their start has gotten even more historic.
Trailing 3-1 to the Boston Red Sox in the bottom of the 5th inning, the Rays exploded for seven runs.

Few college quarterbacks have accomplished as much as Stetson Bennett IV. He guided Georgia to back-to-back national championships, throwing for a combined 528 yards with eight total touchdowns and no interceptions in the two title games, winning offensive MVP honors both years. Despite his impressive résumé, there’s a real chance that Bennett won’t hear his name called during this month’s NFL draft—and one league executive claims to know why.

Not quite, Jim!
Former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been riding a bumpy streak in the CBS analysts’ booth. As the highest-paid lead color analyst in TV history at the time of his deal in 2020, Romo was hyped up as a network lead.
But the result has been below average at best.
