The Tampa Bay Rays are enjoying one of the most historic, unlikely starts to a season in MLB history.
With their 10th consecutive win just a few days ago, the Rays accomplished something that hadn’t been seen in 36 years.

But as of Thursday afternoon, their start has gotten even more historic.
Trailing 3-1 to the Boston Red Sox in the bottom of the 5th inning, the Rays exploded for seven runs.

Few college quarterbacks have accomplished as much as Stetson Bennett IV. He guided Georgia to back-to-back national championships, throwing for a combined 528 yards with eight total touchdowns and no interceptions in the two title games, winning offensive MVP honors both years. Despite his impressive résumé, there’s a real chance that Bennett won’t hear his name called during this month’s NFL draft—and one league executive claims to know why.

Not quite, Jim!
Former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has been riding a bumpy streak in the CBS analysts’ booth. As the highest-paid lead color analyst in TV history at the time of his deal in 2020, Romo was hyped up as a network lead.
But the result has been below average at best.

To the delight of Minnesota fans, Timberwolves teammates Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson have repaired their relationship and moved on from their sideline altercation.
On Sunday, Gobert was sent home immediately after throwing a punch at Anderson during an argument in the huddle during the team’s 113–108 final regular season win over the Pelicans.
Back with the team for the first time since being suspended by the club for their first play-in game, Gobert addressed the incident with reporters for the first time on Thursday.
“We both apologized to each other and you move on.

West Virginia football has two weeks left of spring practice and recently added a new participant. As the Mountaineers look to beef up their offensive line, they didn’t have to go far!
Jimmy Bell Jr., a 34-game starter on Bob Huggins’ basketball team during the 2022-23 season, is suiting up in a helmet and shoulder pads for a trial run on the gridiron. He has been participating in football practice over the last few days after averaging 4.8 points and 5.2 rebounds in 18.5 minutes on the hardwood.

Apparently, to the folks at Red Bull BMX, hot air balloons weren’t extreme enough on their own. They needed to be combined to achieve maximum, unholy extremeness.
Red Bull made a BMX bowl out of carbon fiber and suspended it beneath a balloon. That balloon then rose to an altitude of 2,000 feet.
Red Bull Advanced Technologies — the company’s engineering arm and a cousin to their F1 team — was behind the carbon fiber bowl. Makes sense as that light material is exactly what Formula 1 cars are made of.
(Fun fact: Red Bull Advanced Technologies developed the Aeroscreen at IndyCar.

Please, no. Just stop. Stop this foolish talk about adding more time on the pitch clock in the ninth inning or postseason or, good heavens, turning off the best thing to happen to baseball in years.
Stop telling me the pitch timer will deprive us of the “drama” of big moments. Stop telling me we can’t have any more Kirk Gibson moments because players are “rushed”.
Baseball is red hot right now because the timer has excised 28 minutes of dead time from the average game. More action, less time.

Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger caused quite a stir on social media after seeming to make a controversial comment regarding Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s playing style.
In a quote taken from a recent episode of his podcast, Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger, the retired quarterback offers his opinion on what aspect of Jackson’s game that teams fear most.
“You don’t really fear Lamar’s arm, his accuracy, all the time,” Roethlisberger said. “You don’t fear him sitting in the pocket and picking you apart.

Bygones are never bygones in the AFC North. Ex-Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger gave his assessment of Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson during a recent podcast episode of “Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger.”
Jackson’s play remains under a telescope amid negotiations with the Ravens’ front office. He’s also the focus of the organization’s recent signing of Odell Beckham, Jr. While Lamar’s running ability is second to none in terms of QBs, his passing ability has been subject to debate.
