Defending Masters champion Jon Rahm did not have his best stuff this week, which left a sour taste in his mouth.
The defending champion has one final responsibility every year at Augusta National:
Help slip the Green Jacket onto someone else.
That will be the case for Jon Rahm, who, unlike Tiger Woods in 2001, Nick Faldo in 1990, and Jack Nicklaus in 1966, will not repeat as Masters champion.

Former Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward reportedly has himself a new gig.
According to reports, Ward is headed to Tempe where he will become the new wide receivers coach at Arizona State.
Hey, if you need someone to coach dudes on how to run routes and catch a football, you’d be hard-pressed to find many better people who know what they’re talking about.
Ward, of course, spent 14 seasons in the NFL from 1998 to 2011, all of them with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fowler might not be where he had hoped after his third round at The Masters, but his name will forever be tied to Augusta.
Rickie Fowler entered the 88th Masters Tournament looking to become the first ever Masters Par-3 champion to also win the Green Jacket the same year.
He will fall woefully short of that goal as he just barely made the cut on the number at 6-over par.

After an offseason filled with self-inflicted, amateurish mistakes in producing teams’ uniforms, the MLB finally aced a uniform design.
The Philadelphia Phillies’  City Connect uniforms made their on-field debut last night against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and man do they look slick. While there is no typical Philadelphia red in the design, the black and blue theme takes inspiration from the flag of the city itself. The Liberty Bell hats are the perfect match to compliment the latest release in the MLB’s alternate uniform campaign.

You know what they say? It ain’t a Masters moving day until Tiger Woods starts to wince in pain somewhere in the middle of the first 9.
Relax. It’s a joke. Sort of. Unfortunately, though, it’s not nearly the joke it used to be.
After a birdie on 5, Tiger Woods collapsed in historic fashion over the final four holes of his front-9 Saturday at Augusta, shooting a 42 – his highest score in 99 rounds at Augusta National.
Read that again … Tiger Woods just shot his highest score in 99 career rounds at The Masters. I mean, good God. What a stat.

It sure looks like the Arizona Coyotes will play their final game next week before they move north to Salt Lake City. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported that the players had been informed of the pending move. According to Friedman, players, and team personnel could head to Utah to get a lay of the land and check out facilities as soon as Wednesday night after the ‘Yotes’ season finale against the Edmonton Oilers.

Tiki Barber is not impressed by JJ McCarthy. And even though the New York Giants could certainly use a quarterback, Barber is hoping his former club steers clear of the University of Michigan product.
“Not happening. I’m just saying. Not happening,” Barber said Thursday. “I don’t want him. Not happening.”
The Giants’ current QB1, Daniel Jones, appeared in only six games in 2023 after his season was cut short by a torn ACL.
