Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi has distanced himself from reports linking him to the soon-to-be vacant Bayern Munich job by insisting he wants to stay where he is.
The Italian’s name has been circulated as Bayern look to replace Thomas Tuchel, who will leave at the end of the season after surrendering the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen.

To say Nathan Martorella was confused would be an understatement.
As the San Diego Padres Double-A Minor League Baseball player had just reached second base on a double, time was called with his manager motioning for him to come off the field. At first, Martorella doesn’t even realize that his manager is talking to him – as he begins looking around. Eventually, As begins slowly jogging to the third baseline (probably assuming that there was a family emergency) only to find out that he had been traded to the Miami Marlins and had to leave immediately.

Thirty-six holes into the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson, Tour rookie Jake Knapp is at 14 under par and the leader by one shot over Matt Wallace and Troy Merritt.
Bettors looking to cash in this weekend might consider looking past those names, just down the down. Taylor Pendrith, currently three shots behind Knapp and +1600 at DraftKings, is a solid live bet for two reasons:
1. He was in good form leading into to the tournament, which is always a positive indicator.

The 2024 Kentucky Derby has finally arrived, and it is a big one. Saturday’s race will mark the 150th to take place at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. There will undoubtedly be some additional fanfare to celebrate the sesquicentennial race, but you can also expect the usual Derby fare — outrageous outfits, Mint Juleps, and an exciting race.
There will also be the usual assortment of famous and wealthy individuals in attendance. The Derby, among all its other qualities, is a gathering place for many highly successful individuals, from Tom Brady to Jack Harlow.

All eyes will be on Chase Stadium this Saturday night when Inter Miami host New York Red Bulls in an MLS clash between two in-form sides.
The Herons have overcome their Concacaf Champions Cup disappointment to beat Sporting Kansas City, Nashville SC and New England Revolution in their last three MLS outings, propelling them to the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
Good form has also followed New York Red Bulls this season, who sit third in the Eastern Conference and just four points behind Miami having played a game less.

Welcome to Saturday at the Miami Grand Prix, where the first points of the weekend are on the line
MIAMI — He described his car as “terrible.” His reaction when told by the team that he had captured pole position was “LOL.” And yet dawn breaks on another day of Formula 1 action here at the Miami Grand Prix with the paddock wondering if anyone can catch Max Verstappen.
It has not just been that kind of season for Verstappen, but rather this has been the overarching storyline for F1 the past three seasons and counting.

The San Diego Padres have made yet another significant trade in the early part of the 2024 Major League Baseball season.
After months of rumors and speculation, San Diego acquired pitcher Dylan Cease from the Chicago White Sox late in spring training. And while Cease has been excellent through the first month or so, the Padres have still struggled into early May. A three-game winning streak entering Saturday was enough to bring them to within a game of .500, but at 17-18, the Padres still sit 4.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West.

It may only be the preseason, but if last night was any indication of how Caitlin Clark’s WNBA career will go, it appears that she’ll be just fine.
The WNBA No. 1 draft pick made her Indiana Fever debut Friday night as they tipped off their preseason against the Dallas Wings in front of a sold-out arena of over 6,500 (of which tickets were going for big bucks.)
Clark came out HOT – scoring 16 of her 21 points in the first half alone, including hitting her first ever WNBA shot – which was to no surprise, a three-pointer.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag admits his side are not playing the style of football he’d like, and has attributed their struggles to the extraordinary amount of injuries to players in key positions.
The mood at Old Trafford was lifted by a successful first season for Ten Hag, which saw the Red Devils end a six-year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup. They also reached the FA Cup final, losing narrowly to neighbourhood rivals Manchester City, and qualified for the Champions League thanks to a third-place Premier League finish.
