Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown scored a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Week 14 and celebrated like many before him have – by jumping into the Salvation Army kettle just outside of the end zone.
Two weeks later, Brown had learned that his celebration came with a consequence in the form of a $5,000 fine.
Not only does Brown disagree with the fine amount, but he took his grievances a step further and accused the league of actually baiting players to jump in the kettles in Dallas.

What a time to be alive.
You have absolutely no idea how much unbridled joy this brings me. Falcons’ rookie Michael Penix Jr. found out that he was getting the nod to start for Atlanta moving forward while waiting in line to buy a $1.50 hotdog from Costco.

A new man will take on the toughest job in Formula 1 — being teammates with Max Verstappen at Red Bull — and his name is Liam Lawson.
When news broke that Red Bull and Sergio Perez were parting ways, it was obvious that Lawson was going to be the guy. He made his way through Red Bull’s development program and the team went to great lengths to make sure they kept him in the fold, even when there weren’t any race seats available for him.
However, many were surprised and disappointed that the seat wasn’t given to Lawson’s now-former VCARB teammate Yuki Tsunoda.

In an incredibly predictable fashion, Megan Rapinoe was a fan of Caitlin Clark’s recent comments about how she has benefited from ‘white privilege’ throughout her life and basketball career. The former U.S. women’s soccer standout didn’t stop at simply applauding Clark’s comment, however, Rapinoe also took a shot at conservatives in the process.
“I want to say I’ve earned every single thing, but as a white person, there is privilege,” was the quote from Clark that lit the Internet ablaze after she was named Time’s Athlete of the Year.

Yes, this is real.
The Jets have a gift for doing things so stupid, so inane, that you can’t even believe they’re a multi-billion dollar organization. The latest hit comes after an anecdote from The Athletic, which is so mind-blowing it’s beyond belief.

Woody Johnson nixed a trade for Jerry Jeudy last offseason because he felt his Madden rating was too low.
Sources describe his impulsive over-involvement as the root of the Jets’ dysfunction.

There was a moment on the Pat McAfee Show this week when the conversation turned to the availability of Mike Vrabel as a coach candidate in the coming hiring cycle and ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky may have let something slip.
“I think Vrabel’s spoken for,” Orlovsky said. ” I just think Vrabel’s probably got a very clear sight and path with where he’s going to be likely coaching … He’ll be coaching football.”
Well, the last part of that is absolutely true.

Clark’s jersey will be retired on February 2nd, when the Iowa Hawkeyes host JuJu Watkins and the USC Trojans.
In perhaps the most obvious jersey retirement decision of all time, the University of Iowa announced Wednesday that Caitlin Clark’s jersey will be retired on February 2nd, in a home game against the University of Southern California.

Josh Allen is one of eight finalists for the 2024 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award — but it looks like his team might be trying to sabotage him.
