The five-star recruit previously committed to Florida before being released.
Five-star quarterback prospect Jaden Rashada officially committed to Arizona State on Wednesday after previously committing to Florida.
Rashada announced his decision on social media, noting he’ll be following in his father’s, Harlen’s, footsteps since he also played for the Sun Devils.
“Just wanted to start off by thanking the Lord for my journey and the strength to get through whatever was & is put in front of me, thank you to everybody who truly knows me for me!” Rashada wrote.

The league went bankrupt in 2019 and there have been no games since.
After going bankrupt in 2019, the Arena Football League announced Wednesday that it is returning in 2024 under new ownership. The F1 Sports & Entertainment investment group, the same association that purchased the rights to the AFL in 2022, will be taking over the league, and Lee A. Hutton III will be its new commissioner.
This would make Hutton the first Black commissioner to lead a professional sports league in the United States.

The forward’s new teammates are thrilled for her to join the team in New York.
Breanna Stewart shocked the basketball world on Wednesday when she announced her signing with the Liberty.
The 2016 No. 1 pick played six seasons with the Storm, finishing with two WNBA titles and four All-Star selections.
There was speculation that the former Storm star would sign in New York, the state that she is from. Because of that, current WNBA and NBA stars actively tried to recruit the two-time champion to the Liberty.

Many consider now-retired (again) QB Tom Brady the GOAT. You can count longtime radio personality Mike Francesa among that majority.
There is one caveat though, at least for Francesa. Well, two.
Brady’s not the greatest regular season quarterback of all time, nor is he the greatest Super Bowl signal-caller, either.
Other than that, though, Tom’s the best to ever do it!

The veteran quarterback is a free agent this offseason.
The 49ers still haven’t figured out their 2023 quarterback situation, but it sounds like Jimmy Garoppolo might not be in the picture next season.
San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan admitted he doesn’t see “any scenario” in which Garoppolo returns to the 49ers next season. This was all the detail Shanahan provided on Wednesday.
Garoppolo is a free agent this offseason, and given Shanahan’s remark, it doesn’t sound like the 49ers do not plan to re-sign him for next season.

The All-Star break is nearly upon us which means it’s time for the final mad dash to the playoffs.
Let’s not get too excited, there’s still plenty of fun to be had when the league’s best and brightest (except for dudes who are injured or were snubbed *cough* Travis Konecny *cough*) gather in south Florida.
Hopefully, the All-Star weekend provides enough fodder for a special edition of the NHL Weekly Awards, but let’s not pretend this week didn’t have its share of gems.
We’re hitting all levels of the North American pro hockey system and even diving into college puck once again.

The World No. 1 previously shot down any speculation about him “faking” an injury.
Novak Djokovic won his 10th Australian Open title on Sunday, and apparently he achieved the feat while dealing with a hamstring tear.
It wasn’t a secret that the 22-time Grand Slam champion had an injury during the tournament. However, some people thought he was “faking” the injury since he was still dominating on the court, so much so that he won the tournament.
