After a rough stretch that saw them lose six games in a row, USC traveled to Michigan for their first Big Ten road series this weekend looking to get back on track. The Trojans were able to do just that, taking two of three from the Wolverines to pick up their first Big Ten series victory.
On Friday, the Trojans jumped out ahead early, leading 7-1 after seven innings. Starter Caden Hunter continued his strong start to the year, allowing just one run on three hits over 6.2 innings.

The Ohio State men may have missed out on March Madness, but the Ohio State women are going dancing again under head coach Kevin McGuff. In fact, the Buckeyes turned the page from last year after having to retool and still finished in a tie for third place in the Big Ten and doing enough this season to be awarded a No. 4 seed in the upcoming Women’s NCAA Tournament.

It’s finally here, the beginning of America’s finest sports tradition.
No, I’m not talking about March Madness, even though that is a phenomenal tournament in and of itself. After months and months of waiting, the MLB season will begin tomorrow at…

6:10 a.m.?! Most people are asleep at that hour. Who made that call?
Well, it actually makes sense. For the first two games of the season – played by the Chicago Cubs and the super-villain Los Angeles Dodgers – the MLB will head to the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

J.J. Spaun had a magical four days at TPC Sawgrass, but unfortunately, he had to return to the property on Monday morning to take on Rory McIlroy in a three-hole playoff with The Players on the line, and things went south in a hurry.
McIlroy made easy work of the first playoff hole, making birdie on the Par 5 16th, while Spaun managed a shaky par after.
Despite momentum very much being on McIlroy’s side, Spaun had plenty of life left standing on the tee of the anything-can-happen Par 3 17th hole. Even after McIlroy hit his tee shot to 29 feet, the door was still open for Spaun.

West Virginia being left out of the NCAA Tournament in favor of a team like North Carolina caused a major uproar following the selection show on Sunday evening. But, Governor Patrick Morrisey has decided to let his actions speak louder than words of outrage over the Mountaineers snub.
On Monday, the West Virginia governor announced that they are looking for answers from the ‘National Corrupt Athletic Association’, also known as the NCAA, for leaving the Mountaineers out of the tournament.

The Texas Longhorns have been an enigma this season. With talent and the ability to execute, they have shown flashes of potential, yet inconsistency has defined their campaign. Now, they find themselves in the First Four, battling Xavier for a spot in the NCAA Tournament’s first round.
Texas (20-13) secured its tournament berth despite a 6-12 record in SEC play, aided by a crucial overtime victory over Texas A&M.

Just four days before announcing his top-five schools list, defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy has made a change. The talented prospect is adding the Texas Longhorns to his list. They will replace Texas A&M and now have a better chance of landing one of the best players in the 2026 class.
The Tupelo High School product made the announcement through social media on Sunday. The change came shortly after McCoy locked in a date for his official visit to Texas. He is set to visit Austin this summer on June 13, when he originally planned to go to College Station.

The Mavericks—their fans, players, and front office—are still dealing with the fallout and emotional aftereffects of the stunning Luka Doncic trade. Not everyone is processing this in the same way, and many people — particularly fans — are not ready to move on.
Dallas Mavericks talisman Dirk Nowitzki spoke to that on the German 41 Campus podcast (hat tip to Hoopshype for the translation). Nowtizki talked about going to the first Lakers game Doncic played.
“It was such a strange situation. I was standing in that empty stadium, and then he ran onto the court—in yellow.

March Madness kicks off this week, and if you’re an Xfinity fan, there’s big news. Comcast has announced that Xfinity Multiview is headed to more X1 devices, just in time for the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments.
Xfinity Multiview will be available during both tournaments, featuring two to four pre-selected men’s and women’s games played simultaneously. Customers can access the multiview options by saying “March Madness” or “multiview” into their voice remote.

The final AP poll before the NCAA Tournament just dropped, and Michigan State basketball fell one spot down to No. 8 after their Big Ten Tournament loss to Wisconsin.
Interestingly, the associated press had Michigan State one spot lower than the Spartans’ position in the NCAA Tournament field, where the No. 2 seeded Spartans are the No. 7 overall team in the bracket.
Michigan State was ranked at No.
