VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Brock Boeser scored twice and had an assist as the Vancouver Canucks handed the Winnipeg Jets a 6-2 drubbing on Tuesday night.
Pius Suter added two goals, including one into an empty net, while Nils Hoglander and Drew O’Connor had one goal each and Quinn Hughes contributed two assists. Kevin Lankinen stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced.
Nikolaj Ehlers and Alex Iafallo scores for the Jets, whose three-game win streak came to an end. Connor Hellebuyck made 16 saves.

As of Tuesday evening, it was no longer there.

The Winnipeg Jets had their three-game win streak snapped, losing 6-2 to the Vancouver Canucks.

Loose defending plagued the Jets in the first period, allowing three goals on nine shots. Drew O’Connor broke the ice for the Canucks, recording his ninth goal of the season. Nikolaj Ehlers answered back with 22nd before Brock Boeser and Nils Hoglander scored two unanswered goals.
Alex Iafallo brought the Jets within a goal, scoring his 11th of the season. Luke Schenn picked up his first point as a Jet, recording a secondary assist.

Davis’ six 3-pointers tied Caleb Love’s program record for an NCAA Tournament game. Love had six against UCLA in 2022. Tar Heels coach Hubert Davis went 5 for 5 from deep against Eastern Michigan in 1991.
The 14 made 3-pointers were the most for North Carolina in an NCAA Tournament game. The Tar Heels hit 13 against Marquette in 2022.

As a rookie on the defending NBA champions, Baylor Scheierman knows he has limited opportunities to make much of an impression outside of practice.
Scheierman got an opportunity Tuesday night and delivered, scoring a career-high 20 points in a gritty effort that had his Boston Celtics coaches, teammates and fans on their feet in appreciation.
