Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is no stranger to speaking his mind. Generally, when he speaks, the media listens and broadcasts his thoughts far and wide.
Yet the media has completely ignored recent comments by Sanders. You can’t help but wonder why.
Sanders appeared with Rich Eisen during Super Bowl week and talked about what he looks for in quarterbacks.
“We want mother, father, you know, dual parents,” Sanders says. “We want that kid to be 3.5 [GPA] and up because he’s got to be smart.

Newly acquired Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson is having a difficult time adjusting to life in New York City.
No, it’s not the out-of-control crime, the growing homeless problem, or the bail reform letting convicted criminals back on the streets to do as they please. Johnson has a problem with the city’s traffic.
As a lifelong New Yorker, I feel your pain Cam. And it’s not going to get any better. Wait till the protesters shut down the Brooklyn Bridge and you can’t get back to Manhattan after a game. That’s always a fun time.

Wonder no more. Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is college football’s weirdest figure.
A figure that’s been shaped by shirtless squats.
Yep. Captain Comeback himself likes to get the quads firing by getting under the squat bar inside of the Michigan weight room. And he damn near barebacks the excercise.
Former Wolverine and current Detroit Lion, Aiden Hutchinson, confirmed as much.
“Coach Harbaugh is in the weight room, khakis on, cleats on, shirts off, squatting,” Hutchinson told NBC Sports Bay Area’s Jennifer Lee Chan of Harbaugh’s pre-practice routine.

Football is back… already.
Oh football, we missed you. We had to go almost an entire week without the sport to watch, and gosh it was difficult. Thankfully the XFL is back, in February, to start a new season. It’s a good time to look at the players in the league this year, the format for the season, and most importantly the ST. LOUIS BATTLEHAWKS, the best name in sports.
The three month season starts this weekend with the same seven teams that competed in its last season, plus the addition of an eighth: The San Antonio Brahmas.

Justin Fields is capable of doing one thing Deion Sanders isn’t:
Admitting when it’s cold.
While the Colorado coach refuses to admit it gets cold in Boulder, the dual-threat face of the Bears has no problem admitting the weather gets chilly.
In fact, he’s very open about not being a huge fan of playing outdoors in cold and windy conditions in Chicago.

“I hope we get a dome. I don’t care if we’re at Soldier Field, I don’t care if we’re at Arlington Heights.

Austin Peay University, located 45 miles outside of Nashville, has indefinitely suspended its entire cheerleading squad. The university’s mascot, a governor, avoided suspension.
According to athletics director Gerald Harrison, the university was made aware of potential violations involving the cheerleading squad. An investigation will take place, but will not be led by the school’s athletic department.
“This only deals with our cheerleading squad,” Harrison said. “This does not include the dance (team) or mascot at this time.

The Celtics announced Thursday that Joe Mazzulla is officially the 19th head coach in the franchise’s history and he has received a contract extension. The details of the deal are unknown at this time.

One of men’s college basketball’s most historically irrelevant programs has authored a remarkable turnaround this season.
Good morning, I’m Dan Gartland. The last time I wrote this much about Fordham basketball was in 2014.
