Growing up on Long Island in the 1980s, Chris Messina wasn’t the world’s biggest sports fan. “I was the theater kid, so I was running away from getting beaten up by the football player,” he says with a laugh. But even he couldn’t help but be mesmerized by Michael Jordan. “I just remember him literally flying through the air,” Messina says. “I was into dancing—my mom was a dance teacher—so the idea that someone could jump like that through the air was remarkable.

Major League Baseball umpires often catch a lot of heat for being bad at their jobs, and rightfully so—they do seem to make a lot of mind-boggling calls. 
But we can’t ignore an ump when he does his job correctly and nails a call, especially one that comes after his world gets turned upside down. 
That’s exactly what happened Tuesday night in Kansas City when first base umpire Vic Carapazza get absolutely lit up by Royals reliever Aroldis Chapman, who was running to first to try to help on a ground ball. 
Carapazza was able to shake off the huge hit and make the call.

At this point, golf fans are either cheering for arguably the greatest golfer to ever live or they’re not.

The San Francisco 49ers might be in the mix to land Aaron Rodgers from the Packers.
All eyes have been on a potential trade between Green Bay and the Jets to land the future hall of famer. However, there’s been very little public movement on shipping Rodgers out of town since the QB made his intention to play for the Jets clear.

Will a trade happen? Is something holding up? Nobody outside of the Packers and Jets seems to know.

Lamar Jackson’s request to be traded from the Ravens, now over a month old, has been met with apathy from either the Ravens or the NFL’s other 31 teams or both. Many onlookers are incredulous this is happening to Jackson, and that teams are not taking advantage of the chance to trade for this one-time MVP and game-changing player. They blame the other teams, the Ravens and Jackson for his insistence on not having an agent. The real culprits, however, are not any of those things.

The NFL’s most troubled franchise right now? It’s the Arizona Cardinals.
And it’s not really close.
The Cardinals, under normal circumstances, should be celebrating something of a honeymoon period now. They have a young new general manager in Monti Ossenfort and a new head coach in Jonathan Gannon, who was hired fresh off a season with the Philadelphia Eagles that ended with a Super Bowl appearance.
But instead of the enjoying this reservoir of good times and good will, the franchise is in deep trouble. It’s facing dire days ahead.

Heading into the Masters Champions dinner, many were expecting drama to unfold with six LIV golfers sharing a table with many who have publically bashed anything and everything involved with the Saudi-backed circuit. Some circled Phil Mickelson as a potential source of controversy, but nothing came to fruition.
Fuzzy Zoller, who won his green jacket in 1979, was in attendance on Tuesday night and explained that there were no fireworks and that Phil Mickelson completely kept to himself the entire evening.
