Will Levis struggled in 2022, but he’s still a top quarterback prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft
Former University of Kentucky quarterback Will Levis is viewed as a guaranteed first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, with it being extremely likely he is one of the first ten players to hear his name called. Levis is coming from a pro-style offense at Kentucky where a former Los Angeles Rams offensive assistant coach called plays in the 2021 season, a season in which Levis flourished.

Wrongfully accused XFL player struggles to clear his name off the field
Although the XFL has reinstated Orlando Guardians quarterback Quinten Dormady, the ability to clear his name “in the court of public opinion” is proving to be much a more difficult endeavor.
For some context, the Guardians released Dormady on March 2 because they were of the opinion that he had leaked offensive plays to an opponent. Following an investigation, the league found no wrongdoing and he has since been reinstated to the team, but the ordeal is still ongoing as he feverishly tries to clear his name.

Carolina is adding a pass-catcher to its arsenal as the team looks to retool the offense.
The Panthers are signing former Pro Bowl wide receiver DJ Chark, the team announced Friday. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport broke the news of the signing and reported that Carolina and the 26-year-old have agreed to terms on a one-year deal.
Chark spent last season with the Lions after playing his first four years with the Jaguars. He caught 30 passes for 502 yards and three touchdowns as one of Jared Goff’s top targets in Detroit.

“Adam’s a standup guy, and I love the way he represents Spokane.”
Adam Morrison and Julianna Peña both know the taste of greatness. And they’ve also been haunted by defeat.
Peña reached the highest of highs when she upset Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight title. Nunes entered that fight in December of 2021 as an unstoppable force, and only a precious few outside of Peña’s friends and family envisioned her emerging victorious. Yet she did, in remarkable fashion, bludgeoning Nunes with a flurry of strikes before forcing her to tap.

After watching Will Levis throw at Kentucky’s Pro Day via the NFL Network Friday afternoon, one has to wonder what were the Saints thinking signing Derek Carr?
The Saints do not pick in the first round until No. 29, and Levis will likely not be available then. But a trade could have moved them up enough perhaps. The projections for the senior from Newton, Massachusetts, are ranging from as low as 23 to Minnesota and as high as No. 7 to Las Vegas.
Levis (6-foot-4, 232 pounds, age 23) on this day looked closer to a top five pick, which he was a year ago at this time after his 2021 season.

The incident occurred after Bowling Green’s win Thursday night.
Bowling Green Athletics announced the Bowling Green State University Police Department charged Memphis guard Jamirah Shutes with assault. On Thursday night, Shutes allegedly punched Bowling Green’s Elissa Brett after the Falcons’ WNIT victory over the Tigers. Brett, who was on the ground following the punch, is doing well, according to the school.

Los Angeles was the master of the shift and used it to its advantage. With the ban on the defensive strategy starting this season, the Dodgers and other teams might get stuck.
The Dodgers’ secret sauce is off the menu for this season.
While the ban on defensive shifts is great news for hitters, especially left-handed hitters, it’s bad news for Los Angeles, which enjoyed an edge over the rest of baseball for the past four seasons with how well it deployed extreme defensive positioning.
No team since 2019 shifted more often and more effectively than the Dodgers.
