Spieth and Fowler got their U.S. Open prep started early after they both missed the cut at The Memorial.
Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler were two of the biggest names to miss the cut at The Memorial Tournament.
Neither played well at Jack’s Place, but it did give them a head start on their U.S. Open preparations.
Both guys were at Pinehurst on Sunday playing golf, per a follower who sent the video to the Rickie Fowler Tracker on X. It appeared they played a full 18 holes.

#NEW: Rickie is out scouting Pinehurst No.

Katie Ledecky would rather not weigh in on transgender athletes in sports.
The issue of males participating in female sports was first catapulted into the national conversation after the NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in March 2022. That’s when Lia Thomas, a man who identifies as a woman, won the 500-yard freestyle and earned two other All-America honors.
That swimming pool in Atlanta was essentially ground zero for the growing trend of males transitioning to women’s sports — raising questions about fairness and safety for female athletes.

On Saturday, Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla had his standard NBA Finals off-day press conference. A Yahoo Sports writer by the name of Vince Goodwill did what many in the corporate media try to do on a daily basis: make everything about race.
Goodwill asked Mazzulla a meandering question, shoehorning in his own beliefs about race, while trying to get Mazzulla to agree with him. Mazzulla didn’t take the bait.
“For the first time since 1975, the NBA Finals [features] two black head coaches,” Goodwill begins, letting everyone know where this is heading.

Linn Grant came from 11 shots back to win the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed, which featured the best male and female European players.
Sebastian Soderberg entered the final round with an eight-shot lead, sitting at 21-under par and in complete control of the DP World Tour’s Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed in Sweden.
But it all unraveled on Sunday as he lived out a nightmare of epic proportions.

Caitlin Clark will win a lot of gold medals with USA Basketball. She just didn’t deserve a spot on the team yet.
United States women’s basketball has a case as the most dominant team at the Olympics in any sport. Team USA has won seven straight gold medals in women’s basketball. It hasn’t lost a game in the Olympics since 1992. The U.S. has won its gold medal game by an average of 22 points over the last seven Olympics, and none of those games has been decided by single-digits.

Last week, the Buffalo Bills signed Gable Steveson — an Olympic gold medalist and one of the most dominant collegiate wrestlers in history — to a three-year rookie deal. Pretty cool, considering he’s never even played football before. But not everyone is thrilled about the move.
Former NFL offensive linesman Ramon Foster, who played 10 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, recently chatted with Nashville’s 104.5 The Zone about Steveson’s signing. And he’s not a fan.
“Hate it. Hate every bit of this. No, you were pro in a different sport.

Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazullah declined the opportunity to spread a race-baiting narrative in a press conference on Saturday.
Mazzulla was facing the media ahead of his team’s impending Game 2 matchup with the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals. Most of the questions were your standard material for these sorts of things: how are you guys exploiting matchups, how do you keep your bench players engaged, stuff like that.

What are the biggest questions ahead of lights out in Montreal?
Last season only three drivers won a Formula 1 Grand Prix: Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez, and Carlos Sainz Jr.
Today’s Canadian Grand Prix is the ninth Grand Prix of the season and four drivers — Verstappen, Sainz, Lando Norris, and Charles Leclerc — have reached the top step of the podium. That mere fact speaks to the compacted field this year, particularly at the pointy end of the grid, and the potential title fight that is emerging in F1.

Ryan Garcia was arrested Saturday for felony vandalism at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Beverly Hills.
The boxing superstar allegedly trashed his hotel room and the hallway before the Beverly Hills Police Department intervened. The hotel alleges that Garcia caused more than $15,000 in damage, according to police. Any damage over $400 is considered a felony in California.
Video from TMZ Sports shows Garcia — handcuffed, shirtless and wearing a helmet — being led out of the hotel by officers.
