Morikawa led the field at Augusta National Saturday as he climbed into the final pairing of The Masters.
Collin Morikawa entered the 88th Masters Tournament in relatively poor form.
Despite historically being a great iron player, which tends to play well at Augusta National, he was overlooked as someone that could win the Green Jacket this year.
Well, Morikawa is proving all of the doubters wrong. He is also doing it after making an uncharacteristic decision of changing his putter after Thursday’s opening round.

Following Day’s third round at The Masters, the Aussie addressed his wardrobe change from the day prior.
Jason Day has been one of the highlights of the 88th Masters Tournament this week. Unfortunately, it has not necessarily been because of his play at Augusta National, but his wardrobe choices.
During Thursday’s opening round, Day was rocking some of the baggiest pants you will ever see on a golf course. It had fans making callbacks to MC Hammer.
His first round was cut short due to inclement weather forcing tee times to be pushed back.

You won’t see too many finishes as close as the one we were treated to on Saturday during the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.
Seriously, you’re not going to believe how close this was.
On the final lap of the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300, JR Motorsports’ Sam Mayer got an incredible run out of Turn 2 on the final lap, which allowed him to get his No. 1 Chevrolet past Ryan Sieg’s No. 39 Ford Mustang for RSS Racing.

Woods demolished himself after he carded the biggest number of his career at The Masters Tournament.
Tiger Woods played terribly Saturday at The Masters Tournament. He carded a career-high score at Augusta National. Woods signed for a 10-over 82 to sit at 11-over for the event.
Afterwards, Woods offered his thoughts on the day and was not kind to himself.
“I was not hitting it very good or putting well,” Woods said. “I didn’t have a very good warmup session, and I kept it going all day today.

Nick Evers’ time at Wisconsin has come to an end.
The talented former top-10 QB recruit in the 2022 class spent one year at Oklahoma before arriving in Madison to play for Luke Fickell, and he’s been viewed as the QB of the future since stepping on campus.
Well, Badgers fans dreaming about the ultra-athletic QB leading the team to glory can officially kill that idea because he’s gone.
Evers has left the building.
Evers took to social media Saturday night to announce the shocking news that he’s entering the transfer portal with three years of eligibility remaining.

Xander Schauffele vaulted up the leaderboard at The Masters thanks to his steady play at Augusta National.
Xander Schauffele accomplished a career-first on Saturday at Augusta National.
He did not record a single bogey and instead made two birdies at the 3rd and 13th holes, ultimately shooting a 2-under 70. It’s his first bogey-free round in his Masters career.
“To go bogey-free today was pretty special,” Schauffele said afterward.

I’m sure after reading that headline, you’ve got lots of questions.  “Was he even a good pitcher?” “Who is this guy?” “How in the world did he trade families?”
Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
Fritz Peterson passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday, according to Northern Illinois University (his alma mater). At the time of the announcement, no cause of death was given (he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2017).
