C.J. Gardner-Johnson addressed the elephant in the room shortly after it was reported Tuesday that he agreed to sign a three-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The 26-year-old cornerback spent the 2022 season in Philadelphia, but was highly critical of the city on a video game live stream last July. When asked what his least favorite thing was about Philadelphia, Gardner-Johnson said “the people.”
“They’re f—— obnoxious,” he said.
He didn’t waste any team acknowledging those comments on Tuesday.

It was reported Tuesday that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was considering New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers as a candidate to join him as a running mate on the independent presidential ticket.
While the reactions to Rebecca Davis O’Brien’s report in the New York Times varied, Rodgers’s teammate, cornerback Sauce Gardner, couldn’t help but joke on social media. New York’s budding star, who even has a secret handshake with his quarterback, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to have fun with the news.
“Ohhhh, Aaron bouta become the VP..

The Louisville Cardinals reportedly will be looking for a new men’s basketball head coach this offseason.
Louisville plans to fire coach Kenny Payne in the next 24 hours, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported Tuesday night. Payne has yet to speak with Louisville athletic director Josh Heird after the Cardinals’ season ended with a 94–85 loss to the N.C. State Wolfpack on Tuesday in the ACC tournament.
Payne, who was hired in March 2022, tallied a 12–51 record over two seasons at the helm.

New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner issued another scathing response to former teammate Mecole Hardman’s sharp remarks about playing for the Jets.
Hardman, a free agent WR who finished the season with the Chiefs, spent a brief period in New York in 2023. Failing to catch on, Hardman inspired the Jets to trade him back to his old team in Kansas City via mid-season trade.
The 26-year-old eventually won his third Super Bowl with the Chiefs, winning a pair in K.C. before arriving with the Jets last offseason.

The Baltimore Ravens agreed to terms with former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry on Tuesday, the second day of the NFL’s legal tampering period in free agency. The league-wide response from fans was a mixture of surprise and intrigue over Baltimore’s new pairing of Henry and quarterback Lamar Jackson.
However, no one seemed to love the Ravens’ addition to the running back room more than Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. The man known as “Coach Prime” took to social media to proclaim his love of Henry joining forces with Jackson.

Isiah Thomas had something to get off his chest.
While appearing on Tuesday’s episode of The Draymond Green Show, the former Detroit Pistons guard made a bold statement about the Golden State Warriors’ dynasty.
“I hope this doesn’t upset you,” Thomas began. “Before Kevin Durant arrived in Golden State, y’all were on the verge of being remembered as the team that went 73–9 and lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals. You were up 3–1 and [it] probably [was] one of the biggest collapses in NBA history.

Aaron Rodgers is apparently pondering a future in politics.
The New York Times reported Tuesday that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had approached the New York Jets quarterback to potentially be his running mate on the independent presidential ticket this upcoming election.
That storyline was briefly discussed Tuesday on the NFL Network amid a hectic day of free agency. And reporter Andrew Siciliano didn’t hold back.
“As long as he’s not Surgeon General,” Siciliano said, getting laughs from his reporter peers.

The NFL Network crew had a field day with the Aaron Rodger V.P.
