Newly retired NFL tight end Darren Waller released a 17-minute video confirming his retirement. Waller also shared an event from last year that pushed him to make that decision at 31.
The video released by Waller was an encouraging update on the player, who’s battled personal issues off the field but leading an incredible comeback in his NFL career.
Waller’s recent concerns, including a divorce from Kelsey Plum and uncertainty over his future with the New York Giants, stirred questions over DW’s current well-being.

Ortiz’s hard work paid off as he can finally call himself a LIV golf winner after he took home the title in Houston by one shot.
Carlos Ortiz of the Torque GC came out on top in Texas as he won the individual portion of the LIV Golf event at the Golf Club of Houston. He posted a 5-under 67 on Sunday to sit at 15-under total.
Ortiz defeated Adrian Meronk by one shot. Patrick Reed and David Puig finished at 13-under to tie for third place. The Torque member made six birdies and one bogey on the day.

Luka Doncic was listed as questionable Sunday but is on the court at TD Garden as Dallas tries to bounce back from Boston’s Game 1 rout.

Despite not having his best stuff, Scottie Scheffler won the Memorial Tournament for his fifth win of the year.
It did not come easy, and it also came down to the 72nd hole.
But in the end, Scottie Scheffler got the job done once again.
He won the Memorial Tournament by a stroke over Collin Morikawa despite shooting a 2-over 74 on a difficult day at Muirfield Village.

The Memorial Tournament is considered one of the best non-major events on the PGA Tour. It’s hosted by a golf legend, Jack Nicklaus, and the course plays hard. To wit, just 11 players finished under par this weekend. That makes it a perfect warm-up for the US Open, which starts on Thursday. 
If The Memorial was any indication, Scottie Scheffler figures to contend for his first career US Open title.

The team endured a slow start to the 2024 Formula 1 season, but a series of upgrades Mercedes began rolling out at the Miami Grand Prix have started to pay off. At this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix the team secured their first pole position of the year, as George Russell nipped Max Verstappen to start up front on Sunday.

Darren Waller has retired from the NFL after nine years in the league.
The Giants, Waller’s team from last year, commented on the player’s decision, which haunted the franchise all offseason. New York added Waller, 31, a year ago, hoping to feature him as a premier pass-catching option for quarterback Daniel Jones.
NFL insider Adam Schefter posted the following Sunday: 
“Darren Waller is, and has been, expected to retire.

Sweden’s Linnea Strom had the round of her life on Sunday, carding a final-round 60 to win the ShopRite LPGA Classic at Seaview.
Linnea Strom won the ShopRite LPGA Classic in epic fashion, shooting a memorable 11-under 60 to finish at 14-under and clip Megan Khang and Ayaka Furue by a stroke.
She began her final round on the Bay Course at Seaview at 3-under-par and tied for 52nd place.

Mac Jones was doomed to fail under Bill Belichick in New England, declared one former Patriots teammate. 
Ex-New England running back Damien Harris voiced his support for Jones, now a Jacksonville Jaguars backup QB, with “The Athletic” this week, stating in a recent podcast interview that Jones was set up to fail once Josh McDaniels left New England.
Under one year of having McDaniels as his OC in 2017, rookie Mac Jones played his way to a Pro Bowl selection.
