Kansas City may have another ailing star on the field for Sunday’s AFC championship game.
Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce is expected to play against the Bengals in the AFC championship game on Sunday despite being limited in practice this week with back spasms, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Kelce was listed as questionable on Kansas City’s final injury report of the week after reportedly tweaking his back in practice on Friday. The eight-time Pro Bowl selection did not speak with the media that day after practice, as he was undergoing treatment.

Whoops.
On Saturday night, all the MLB award winners from the 2022 season received their awards at the Baseball Writers Association of America dinner. The event was the culmination of a season’s worth of accomplishments for the best players and managers.
However, one set of awards appears to feature a critical spelling error. Last year’s Cy Young winners, Sandy Alcántara and Justin Verlander, posed for photos with their award plaques, allowing fans to get a closer look at the hardware.

Recapping a bizarre, but memorable fortnight with a familiar ending.
Cleaning out the notebook and Notes App from the 2023 Australian Open…
1. Novak Djokovic is your 2023 Australian Open men’s champion, winning the event for the tenth time, and tying Rafael Nadal with his 22nd career major. This event was a testament to his powers of persistence and survival instincts. This title came 15 years after he won for the first time. And, closer to 40 than 30, he remains at the peak of his powers.
2. Aryna Sabalenka is your 2023 Australian Open women’s champion. And, damn, did she earn it.

After past rumblings about connections between Miami and the star QB, the two sides don’t seem destined for a partnership in 2023.
As Tom Brady continues to mull his next career move, at least one team apparently plans to stay out of the mix of what could be a frantic free-agency pursuit of the seven-time Super Bowl champion: the Dolphins.
Miami is not expected to pursue Brady, even if the veteran quarterback decides to return to the NFL for the 2023 season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Serbian won his 10th Australian Open and 22nd major title with little trouble. Can anybody stop him from winning 30 majors?
Chris Almeida: We’re here in the United States on championship Sunday, and on the other side of the world guess what happened? Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open. Who could have seen this coming? Poor Stefanos Tsitsipas made another valiant effort, maybe a little bit less valiant than last time, but it was not even close to enough. He lost in straight sets. 3-6, 6-7, 6-7.

Patrick Reed is involved in yet another rules controversy after the American declared that, despite TV suggesting otherwise, he was “100 percent certain” that it was his ball lodged up a tree in Dubai. His insistence permitted him a favourable drop and spared him a walk back to the tee.

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor recently underwent surgery on his ankle.
The talented RB struggled with his health all season, and he was never able to hit his stride like he did in 2021 to put up huge numbers.
Now, with surgery behind him, he’s hoping to get back to his old ways.

“That thing had a bunch of junk in there from a bunch of years. Just finally had to clean it out and make sure I’m good to go.

James Harden helped to facilitate one of the best games of Joel Embiid’s career in a statement comeback win over the Nuggets on Saturday. In doing so, however, he got smacked in the face by the ball after bizarrely leaving the bench mid-play and running onto the court.
Late in the third quarter, down 15, Philadelphia faced a massive mismatch. Denver had five players on the court, as is standard, while the 76ers had just four. OOPS!
Harden, on the bench at the time, quickly realized the mistake and sprung into action. He popped up from his chair and hurried onto the court.
