The forward will play for a fifth season, he announced on Wednesday.
Right after UNC forward Armando Bacot announced his return for the 2023–24 season, the senior sent out a perfect Twitter message.
Bacot, who chose to use his last year of eligibility instead of finishing up his career now, posted a picture of Perry Ellis, the former Kansas star who is known for playing four seasons with the Jayhawks from 2012–16.
This was Bacot’s not-so-subtle way of adding to the story of him extending his impressive college career.

The deal reportedly includes several draft picks.
The Jets are trading wide receiver Elijah Moore to the Browns, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Cleveland will get Moore and the No. 74 pick in the NFL draft and New York will get the No. 42 pick, per NFL Network.
Moore is entering his third season out of Ole Miss. He tallied 37 catches for 446 receiving yards and one touchdown this past season for the Jets.
This is a developing story. Come back for more updates.

While marveling at both Indian Wells finals, while wondering, like so many, whether an in-form Carlos Alcaraz beats an in-form Novak Djokovic, while wondering if The Republic will enjoy the Boris Becker documentary as much as I did, while amused the Indian Wells and Miami tournament directors both have ownership stakes in paddle sports …
… we move onward.

The Tar Heels star is returning to Chapel Hill for a fifth collegiate season.
North Carolina forward Armando Bacot is reportedly returning to the Tar Heels program for the 2023-24 basketball season, according to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman.
Bacot finished his senior season averaging 15.9 points and 10.4 rebounds in a disappointing ’22-23 campaign that saw the Tar Heels miss the men’s NCAA tournament for the first time since 2010 and the program choosing to not compete in the National Invitation Tournament.
“I’m using my last year of eligibility,” Bacot told Goodman.

Jets bolster offense with the addition of dynamic wideout, ahead of rumored trade for Aaron Rodgers.
On Wednesday, the New York Jets agreed to terms with former Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the deal for the speedy wideout is one year at $6.5 million.
Since being drafted 56th overall by the Chiefs in 2019, the former Georgia standout was an integral weapon in Andy Reid’s offense.

George landed awkwardly while going for a rebound in the team’s loss to the Thunder on Tuesday night.
A day after he suffered a scary knee injury in a loss to the Thunder, the Clippers announced on Wednesday that star forward Paul George would be re-evaluated again in two-to-three weeks. That timeline likely means that George will not appear on the court again during the regular season.
George suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter of Tuesday night’s game while going for a rebound.

The new leg sleeve was revealed on Instagram.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott unveiled his new leg tattoos that cover almost his entire right leg.
One of the biggest tattoos shown in Prescott’s leg sleeve is the skyline of Dallas—the place he’s called home since he was drafted to the Cowboys in 2016.
His tattoo artist, Andres Ortega, posted various close-up photos of the finished product. The process took around 10 hours, Ortega noted.

Not only are PGA Tour players better at everything involved in the game of golf than you and I, but they’re also more creative. Tour players see things the regular golfer doesn’t, and that fact was on full display during Tyrrell Hatton’s opening match at the WGC Match Play on Wednesday.
Taking on Ben Griffin in his first match, Hatton was faced with a lengthy eagle putt on the Par 5 6th hole. Given the angle he was faced with towards the hole, Hatton elected to go with the more difficult route as opposed to the more traditional one.
