Dallas appears to have found a veteran replacement for Ezekiel Elliott.
The Cowboys appear to have secured some reinforcements in the backfield after it was revealed earlier this month that they plan to part ways with longtime running back Ezekiel Elliott.
According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Dallas has agreed to a deal with two-time Super Bowl champion running back Ronald Jones II. Jones visited with the Cowboys on Monday and is now poised to join the team in 2023.
The terms of Jones’s deal with Dallas are not yet known.

Mikal Bridges has emerged as a No. 1 option for Brooklyn after its dramatic midseason overhaul. No wonder the Nets wouldn’t trade him for just about anything.
The World Golf Championships — a bold concept born from the threat of a potential rival league led by Greg Norman (sound familiar?) — have died. They were 24.
Stanford’s social media team was not prepared for an onslaught of SEC fans on Sunday night. However, instead of embracing the chaos, the Cardinal tucked tail.
They later righted their wrong but it was still lame.
Stanford women’s basketball, led by Cameron Brink, was one of four No. 1 seeds in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Tara VanDerveer’s team won 27 games in the regular season and dominated Sacred Heart in the First Round of Women’s March Madness on Friday.
The success was not replicated on Sunday as the No. 8-seed Ole Miss rolled into Palo Alto and played stifling defense.
He was asked about playing with the Celtics long-term.
Celtics star Jaylen Brown has blossomed into one of the best players in the NBA since he was drafted in 2016. Boston fans have been able to watch with pride as he has turned into a dynamic scorer and the perfect No. 2 to Jayson Tatum in recent years. USC held its Pro Day on Tuesday ahead of the 2023 NFL draft, but conditions were glum in Southern California. Amid a rainstorm, the Trojans’ practice facilities were completely overrun with water.

There are few things more reliable in sports than emerging from the first weekend of the men’s NCAA tournament feeling like you’ve just been on the prognosticating equivalent of an ill-advised bender. Taking stock of the poor decisions and unwise pronouncements, doing a damage-control assessment, stewing in regret—the hangover from bad bracket picks is real.
Dak Prescott and Justin Fields among the quarterbacks who will benefit from added weapons on offense.
The NFL’s free agency period has featured a ton of player moves, including some that have completely changed the offensive depth charts of a few rosters. Just look at the Carolina Panthers, who will have a new starting quarterback (Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud or Andy Dalton), a new starting running back (Miles Sanders), a new No. 1 wideout (Adam Thielen?) and a new No. 1 tight end (Hayden Hurst).
This was a weird way to strike out.
The start of the 2023 Major League Baseball season is quickly approaching, which means players in spring training still have some time to not only get themselves ready for the real games, but also to get more used to the many new rules that will be put in play this year.
One of those rules is the pitch clock – pitchers have 15 seconds between pitches with nobody on base and 20 seconds with somebody on base. Batters must be ready to go at the eight-second mark or they will get called for an automatic strike.
