Former NFL official Bill Leavy, who spent 20 years in the league as a back judge and referee, died on Tuesday, according to Football Zebras. He was 76.
Leavy retired following the 2014 season, taking a supervisory position with the NFL’s officiating department. He remained in that role until his death.

The Hawkeyes guard has led the program to a prolific season that finds Iowa matching up against reigning national champion South Carolina on Friday in the Final Four. Iowa (30-6) will play in its first national semifinal since 1993 after the Hawkeyes defeated Louisville, 97-83, in the Elite Eight on Sunday.
