Super Bowl Sunday has come and gone, pitchers and catchers have reported. It is officially fantasy baseball season.
Let’s get to work.
In preparation for my LABR (League of Alternative Baseball Reality) expert league draft next week, I started by making my own first-round rankings. Here is what I came up with and how I would potentially start a build for a 5X5 roto league with standard categories based on each first-round selection.

Frankie Muniz is a race car driver.
Long gone are the days of his appearances in “Malcolm in the Middle” or on the big screen as the protagonist in “Big Fat Liar” or “Agent Cody Banks.” 
This week, Muniz puts on the fire suit, helmet and gloves. He takes down the netting of his stock car and switches on the engine.
It’ll be time to go racing.

With LIV Golf scheduling more tournaments, striking a television deal, and continuing to evolve, the PGA Tour can not stay stagnant. Rory McIlroy, who has been the Tour’s unofficial spokesperson for the last year-plus, thinks the Tour should take a page out of the NBA’s playbook.
In a direct response to LIV’s ginormous purses, the PGA Tour added nine new designated events to its schedule in which the top players on Tour compete for increased purses.

Baseball is just around the corner, as pitchers and catchers participating in the World Baseball Classic reported to training camps on Monday, February 13. Position players participating in the WBC are slated to report on February 16.

While he hasn’t played as much as his competition, Grizzlies big man Jaren Jackson Jr. is a heavy favorite to be the league’s top defender.
Jaren Jackson Jr. is the frontrunner to win Defensive Player of the Year despite a disadvantage in games played compared to his competition.
The Grizzlies’ big man has played in 39 of 56 games, the fewest among the favorites to win the award. Still, his defensive resume has him well ahead of the field with -200 odds.
